I been running PVC for probably 2-1/2 years 18 or so psi 400+ hp, never had a lick of trouble and I'm still running the original set I made off JBL's website for like $20. I'm sure not understanding all the PVC hate, they run cooler too. I just have better mods to do for the money

if they dont find you handsome they will atleast find you handy!

who needs silicone couplers.....real men use duct tape!

taking the engine apart in one week for sure. I m going to install a 1.2 mm HKS metal Head gasket, with arp bolts. First i m going to get the head re-surfaced. Alot of people have been telling me that so im ganna just do it.

Just wondering.. will i have to do anything to the Arp bolts to fit or there direct fit to the stock ones ??

run a cleanout tap down the block threads. Use the special moly lube that comes with the ARP hardware, lube the threads and the washer. Other than that ARP hardware is "plug and play".

This is going to be my first time ever opening up a car and doing this myself. I want to learn this car in and out and i want to take this risk and do it.

I wouldn't use a 1.2MM headgasket. That's gonna increase your compression a decent bit, even more so if you have to get material removed from your head. I'd wait until you get the head back from the machine shop, find out how much they removed, and add that to 1.37mm. I'd also go with ARP studs over bolts.

Your friend seems to be giving you sound advice, but a BHG takes priority over busted old IC pipes. However, since you're probably going to be pulling the motor anyway, you could make an easy job of upgrading your IC pipes and replacing all your worn out hoses and vacuum lines, as well as your water pump, timing belt, etc.

Suprarx7nut has what appears to be a good write up for a BHG repair, here's the link.

I mean take the correct size tap, and run it down into your head bolt threads to clean them out. This helps get a proper torque reading on the bolts.
