Look at the tsrm it'll tell you everything you need to know about pulling the turbo and if your going to replace that lower charge pipe speed-source makes a great metal replacement

i def. recommend getting hardpipes. its worth it to get rid of all the headaches and prevent further failure. if you only replace one section of piping with hardpipes, chances are that it will put more stress on the old worn out stock piping and they will eventually blow

making IC pipes from PVC pipes = bad

dont cheese out. I bought a nice complete kit of pipes, couplers, t-clamps for $120 off ebay. It stood up to 18lbs and would have done more Im sure.

I bought a 89 turbo, 5 speed a week ago and i have some issues already with it. When i drove it around a little bit today for 10 mins. I pushed the car in 2nd gear up to 30 or 40 mph and let go of the gas and the car turned off. It's stalled. This happen to me before everytime i push the car it's turning off. Can this be cause of the boost leak ?? and turbo ??. I m not pushing it all the way. Just a little where the stock boost gauge is lifting a little. Also i noticed this today, my radiator was empty and all of the fluid went to the catch can and some of it over flowed out of it and got on the intercooler and some of it on the bumper ! After the 10 min drive around my neighborhood why did this happen ??

Fonz, I don't mean to be an ass, but do you have ADD, or are you just yanking our chain? People here have told you, based on the above, that you probably have a blown head gasket (aka: BHG). Ignoring that important bit of information, you go off asking how do you replace your intercooler pipes with PCV, how do you remove your turbo, replacing vacuum lines, etc. You have owned the Supra little over a week now, and you're ignoring good advice. You should be troubleshooting for a BHG, because if that's what's wrong with your car, it'll cost you cash, time and effort to fix it correctly, in addition to whatever else you'll probably find that needs repair. So quit listening to yout buddy, listen instead to (most of) the people here. Most of us have already gone thru at least one BHG before. Thank you, and I'm done here.

/\/\ yes i know. thanks. I will be replacing the HG with a MHG and Arp bolts in a week. I havent driven in the car in a week now. It's sitting on the drive way. While it's sitting there. I thought i could fix little stuff that needs to be fixed. I m in no hurry to drive that thing. i wont be driving it till everything is taken care. Trust me.. i m listening. Metal Head Gasket is the first thing on my list to do.

I just want all my questions answer to why that boost thing was happening so i can take care of it while fixing the HG.

No i will not using PVC pipes.. Hell no.. I aint going to use those pipes at all. I did look at those and said.. no way. Maybe if i had a Honda, then maybe :) but i was looking at the aluminum pipe. 2 and half inch i think.. there like 12 dollars for a long one.. and my dad have the tools to bent them. I was thinkin that direction ??? i've seen people done it. it's something like this, there very strong.

Things i will be taking care of
- MHG 1.2 mm HKS bead
- ARp Bolts
- IC pipes
- Water Pump
-Drain all fluids and refill
- Fix my ebrake.
-fix my exhaust leak
That should all be taken care of by end of next week hopefully. Till then, it wouldnt be moving from my drive way.

You can and people have, just use a mandral bender, and exhaust pipe works better, it's thinner. Use Good Couplers and TBOLT Clamps.

to be honest, if you dont have a mandrel bender, i recommend purchasing mandrel bent aluminum or stainless steel bends and straight pieces and connect with silicone couples for your pipes. a regular crush bender (most exhaust shops use) would not be a good idea to use. i would not use regular exhaust pipes b/c they could rust, unless they are stainless steel.

You do realize you have to pull the motor and disassemble to properly do a MHG right?

Unless he Has Reg Reimers Lapping tool, or equivalent. If I were him i'd pressurize the cooling system, and perform a Compression test, a BHG isn't madatory with a 7M.............My motor had 227K miles and never had one or any other problem, but we were great owners.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that method. I just never hear of people doing it that way so I kinda overlooked that possibility.

I been running PVC for probably 2-1/2 years 18 or so psi 400+ hp, never had a lick of trouble and I'm still running the original set I made off JBL's website for like $20. I'm sure not understanding all the PVC hate, they run cooler too. I just have better mods to do for the money
