Alrighty folks to start things off,. my 7mgte has a BHG,. iv had too many problems with the car and seems like nothings getting anywhere,. iv been doing alot of research on both motors (1jz and 2jz) but im still new at this hehe,. thing is,. next friday is LOAN day :DD, and i need advise from you folks on what i should doo,. im either getting 5-6k to spend, i want a reliable car,. that can take abuse, also something that has some nice torque (1 thing i loved about the 7m) im not trying to start another 7m vs 1j or 2j few'd,. just need advise from the people who actully have been through this and that have experiance on this situation,. please help :DD

5-6k can build a 7m, upgrade the oil supply at the bottom (check out ARZ's stuff) then next year you can do a turbo etc etc.

but honestly swapping engines never cures problems, my 7m was running fine when i decided to go 2jz

but if you want a daily driver i suggest a civic or corolla or something too hehe and keep the supra as the hobby car ;) but thats just me (i have a mirage)

^^^ yeah kind of the point i was getting at :D plenty of shame threads where people cant keep the car together and the solution is to get a jz hehe

come on folks,. what should i do, and i do have a beater car 99 oldsmobile aurora rolling on 20" geovoni's, i just hate the MPG on it, but ya, should i go 1jz or 2jz that is the question :p

Just go 2JZ - seriously.
You have enough money to spend on a swap.
better yet, sell your Supra, put the money together with the what you are getting as a loan and buy a already swapped car. There are some nice ones in the 4 sale thread.
