Need help convincing parents

Alright, I am currently in the process of trying to get a supra. I am currently driving a 94 Integra LS. The problem is that when I purchased my integra, I was only 17, and thus had to have my mother co-sign for it. Now that I want to sell it to get a supra, she will not let me. Her argument is that I will have more problems with the supra because it is even older than my current car. Although she may be correct, I think that may not be true if I fond a well taken care of Supra, but I am not sure. So I guess I am asking for your opinions on the matter. I am 18 and in college, and have enough time to work on it if need be, but would prefer not to be working on it all of the time. So what do you think. Is my mother correct in that I should wait until I am out of college, or would I be okay to get it now?

It's hard to find a MKIII that's not trashed and runs good. Wait till your older. Why don't you start with a MKII, 82-85 Supra. You can't kill those. The 5M-G was/is an extremely reliable engine and the rest of the car is easy to work on. It's just not as sexy as the MKIII. Good luck and keep the Acura.

get a n/a for a dd. then buy another for a project. so that way you can always drive one. my dd doesnt get driven that much and somthing always needs work.

i say u made a good decision, don't trust supra as your ultimate DD, fix it till she's perfect, then u could just sell your integra and keep Supra as DD By the way, dont buy first supra in your path, try out few of them at first

wait to buy your supra, im going to college and i already have a supra but im going to leave it at home under a cover till i come back for the summers. I wont have the time and money to work on it and keep it going the way i want it, im a perfectionist so it will be a huge distraction if i take it with me.
