I had to put something with the intake together wrong or some gasket isn't sealing somewhere, but I'm losing boost up top, and I've checked for boost leaks ten times. I can't find one, but I'm guessing it's some sort of vacuum leak around the intake. I'm going to remove it and double check everything. Hopefully I'll find something on it this evening if I get home from work in time to take it off..

good luck with that search. i hate trying to track down vacuum and boost leaks. mine was a brand new, less than 10k mile intake manifold gasket of all things. did your tune change at all with the rebuild? i thought you were telling me something about your timing or hg being different.

a Neon? I know this is some kind of test, right? Where are the cameras at? You guys are kidding me I know. Hahaha very funny. I'm not falling for it though. No way a supra got outrun by a neon...........shame on you guys for trying to get me worked up.

Unfortunately its true. Dodge put out a turbo version that is not badged as neon, but is a neon chassis and body. I believe it is badged "SRX". Remember, I was running a stock setup. The cat alone probably cost me the race. :3d_frown:

Did I say "race"? I meant quick run to the grocery store..

Yeah the stock GTO is 400hp to the crank, but doesn't take much to wake up that 6.0 liter v8. One of my buddies just built one with over 600 hp to the wheels with minimal mods. IMO too much power for the car.

When i raced the GTO i was talking about, he had me off the line up to about 50 then i caught up and passed him. I don't know what he had done to his car becuase the guy just let off when he knew he was beat and turned off quickly.

What makes them so bad ass is the displacement. Can never beat displacement.

...Lol the only way to make a ls2 GTO to 600 Hp is with FI. And for around 5k i woudl rather spend it on the supra, so when my motor blows i dont spend another 4k to fix it. Curious to what setup he;s running though.

SRT-4's are no joke.

Though it's still a neon with mods from the factory...

I've lost to an SRT-4 from a roll and he left me like I had thrown an anchor out the back of my car.

Oh, and about the Solstice/Sky, I'll give you a bit of a heads up on what they REALLY are.

The Lotus Elise and the Opel Speedster/Vauxhall VX220 share the same platform, just different bodywork. They wanted a front engined, RWD version of the same car. This became the Opel GT. The Opel GT is the same car as the Saturn Sky, but different badging. The Solstice is the same exact platform as well.

If you're still with me, the Sky/Solstice is a front engine/RWD version of a Lotus Elise and as soon as people realize this I think their value will go up quite a bit. Personally I'm wanting a Sky Redline...

I was kinda wodering if that is what he was talking about.....yeah they are definately respectable.......I would think that we should own them from a roll though.

you will depending on mods. they will eat you out the hole though. ask bishop92t about his experience with a modded srt-4 bigger turbo, fuel pump, and injectors. whooped us out the hole but by third gear he was behind us every time. we then had to catch and pass the sti.

+1 :evil2:

my DD beater is a saturn sedan and when the sky came out, I really wanted one (thats why I test drove one) but it was way out of my price range, and the fact that it is a 2-seater with the trunk smaller than...well, its SMALL as shit..strayed me away.

shortly after, I found my first supra, then my second :sarcasm:

I would own an Elise over Sky/Solstice anyday.

Sky/Solstice is HALF the price, it's not a contest.

If I had all the money in the world I'd own a damn Atom...

There are a number of sleeper SRT-4's in my area. Removed wing, understated stock wheels, ect. The horrible thing is most of them are 400+ HP and pick on damn near everything else in the area.

Then you have the kids in the stock SRT-4's with a BOV and open downpipe that think they're fast :3d_frown:
