Ij chime in how long you think that oil line would last, if in fact it is rubber?

I'm down a daily right now (f**k a mustang) shoulder put it off another couple weeks before I start putting it together?

I mean we all have a piece of rubber line in the fuel tanks that get submerged in fuel and crap and I figure the gas would be more harmful than oil....?

We all have a piece of special submersible Hose in our fuel tanks (@ something like $200 per metre) put normal hose in there wait a couple of weeks and see what you end up with...

As for how long it will live in Oil ask NoseChunks/Dan how long his lasted he could answer better than I can as I've never been silly enough to try it.

Well that is true but if the softline lasts 3-5 years I'm sure I'll pull the motor for some reason and I can put a hardline in then.. I mean dont we all have to pull a motor or trans or something in that time frame? Lol

The issue is that, to steal IJ's line, you're building a grenade. It's an unknown variable that if it lets go WILL do major engine damage. Given the nature of it, it's going to likely pop during high RPM when pressure is highest. No oil pressure at high RPM = BOOM

You can hit 500bhp with 550s. It's the $2500 I'm sceptical of. But good luck, I hope you do it.
