Car used to be my dad's... He sold it to my brother and I traded into it... Anyway it had problems and wouldnt run for them I got it running the day I traded for it, 2 days later the jdm 7m bhgd now this is my quest...

The replacement motor I traded a disassembled 1jz and $350 for came in the form of a .20 over 7mgte with je pistons, shimmed oil pump, adjustable cam gears, and rc 550 injectors seen here

Eh, the cx racing used to be a massive pile of shit. Built boost slow super, had all kinds of flaws regarding the turbine housing for the waste gate. Some people took proper steps to fix it but still didn't turn out the numbers they were expecting.

I see 350 for under 2500 bucks being possible but 500 rwhp might be a bit of a stretch unless you know some people and can get killer deals.

With the work already done to your engine when you bought it, I'm assuming it already has a MHG in it as well. You're going to need a few key items here to reach 500 rwhp and get it to last, your 550cc injectors aren't going to cut it. 500 RWHP will be roughly 550 BHP which will be running your injectors at 100% cycle duty, you can counter that by bumping the base FP a few PSI to make the injectors 'larger' but the stock ECU won't like that at idle.

You'll also need a 255 walbro fuel pump with the 12v mod cause the stock fuel pump will shit at those demands. You've got a good base to start from but I don't see 500 rwhp being done for 2500 bucks, not one that will last anyways.

If you are willing to change out the manifold to a t4 setup, using something like a used gt35 or an hx40 will get you close but I don't see your budget holding.

550s to my understanding will break 475bhp at a 75% duty cycle.. I was reading a thread on here and people have pulled 500 at the tire at 95% on 550s.. It's gonna pull 475 or it'll blow up trying. And I have an aem 320lph fuel pump so I'm good on that, I.figure the cheap 150 dollar turbo will build boost slow and grenade but if it lasts 3-6 months it was worth 150 and I can get it rebuilt with t3-t4 internals for less than a real turbo

My buddy ran a cx 61 for a year but the waste gate had problems over stock boost we modified it with a ct26 waste gate actuator that helped a lot but anything over 11lbs would cause the waste gate to stick open that turbo should last you till you get another one but you could have problems if you turn it up to the point where you are pushing that much hp just fyi

Here, I'll save you some money: Sell the LIPP fuel rail as it's not needed at all for that power level. IIRC Duane is running a stock rail with dual feeds at around 1000HP...

Got any more info on that? I've never heard of having to modified the ecu to run maft pro. Maft PRO just alters the signals the ECU receives.

The maft pro has an hac built in and adjusts, the stock 89+ ecu have an internal hac therefore you kinda have to do away with the one in the ecu so I cut one lead and soldered 2 wires to it and ran the signal imput from the maft pro into the stock ecu

You usually send your ecu to full throttle and they do it for you... I didn't buy my maft pro from there so I did it mmyself after pulling up the maft pro wiring schematic and being short two wires out of the ecu

Yup you are correct mine was 88 external hac on those
I skipped that part of the install (other than unplugging the hac sensor) but I figured it was a mod to the maft main board my bad

Nah I hope I get close to My power goal... Cause making it is my goal then I aint afraid to get a better turbo, I doubt I go t4 but I might just because a future planned endeavor if this 7m pops

good luck with your build. i'm shooting for 450 wheel on an upgraded ct26 or a bullseye turbo i have here already. does your $2500 include the car or just the parts?
