i have done rx330 retrofit but the projectors are too long and modifying the headlight bucket will be required.

Turned out nice, esp for $100 investment! Cant get a cut off like that With Hella E-Codes. Only other thing you should have done would have been to install shrouds to clean things up. Good job plane & simple. I have my TSX Retrofit almost done. Housings are all together now so I just have to run wiring & install this weekend.

/\ JB weld or industrial 2 part Epoxy. just make sure the housing is mounted correctly before you Epoxy. Test fit & Aim the headlights beforehand in case slight adjustments are needed.

wow, yea urs turned out hella nice, but it def cost alot more lol, if i had the money id prolly do what u did as well, but this was meant to be a budget setup since i wasnt planning to do the mod... i just happened to see a car with projectors as i was walking out and was thinking to myself i could get those for dirt cheap lol.

btw the lights are done, ill post up pics soon. i love being able to see now!

Here is a prime example of what you DO NOT want! Ugh. I'm glad you live one state away from me.

Halogen housings are NOT designed for HID illumination, which is why you get all that glare. You said it yourself, they're high enough that you're worried about getting tickets for them.

Yeah, that also means that you're blinding on-coming traffic. Wait until you cause an accident, I can guarantee you'll get a ticket then...

Edit: And they're not actually brighter, that's called glare.

Damn Shaeff. Why you gotta be so cold?! I see what you mean but where I live (one state away) EVERYBODY has HID's, aftermarket, factory, AND factory retro.

Guys have lights BRIGHTER (or with MORE GLARE) than mine. Plus its not as dark at night cuz I live in the city. Trust me, they're not THAT bad. I've driven past plenty cops and haven't gotten pulled over.

I wish we had a more affordable, aftermarket, quality housing. Or a fixed housing would be best. But i just went with what I knew at the time.

What are you talking about? Are you refering to Flush mounts?
Flush mounts suck because you have to ruin your car to put them in

Mabye, but I think they look GOOD on cars with flip-ups!

Flush mounts aren't very good on our cars because of the angle they sit at when closed. The C3 vettes look good with em though because the angle of that part of the body is steeper allowing a decent light setup to be used.

And popups rock...

I hope to get mine done soon
2 hella DOT 90mm lamps per headlight and they are mounted high on the headlight housing so they flip up only 3" instead of 6" I have (2) 7k slim ballast hid ebayers in each headlight,

Also the high beams are longer so I decided to use two low beam projectors if you look inside the projectors you can take out or modify the light shield for the high beams or turn on two low beams only or both low beams if on high beam setting Im figureing out which route to go with.
