Alrighty then....I just unhooked the chassis ground and connected the MAFT Pro purple wire to the AEM Black wire and the WB would not power up. Soooo this will NOT work.

The AEM uego should be hooked up per its instructions.

The MAFT Pro should be connected per its instructions, except for the orange and purple in the 10 pin connector.

Connect the orange to the AEM analog out.
Connect the purple to the AEM ground wire (black?) near the gauge.

Thats it.

The AEM UEGO has four wires other than the plug from the O2 sensor.
1. Red: 12V Power
2. Black: Chassis Ground
3. White: 0-5V Output
4. Blue: Serial Output
So AEM Black goes to Pro Purple and the AEM White goes to Pro Orange which is what I have right now, except the AEM Black is also going to chassis ground. I will disconnect the chassis ground and see what happens.

in true AEM style, they ignore a lot of issues. looks like their output is just referenced to chassis ground....not the best idea.

I am slightly lost here. The orange wire of the maft goes to the brown on the lc1. The purple wire on the maft goes to the green on the lc1. Neither of these should have a chassis ground. Is this correct? Then the white and blue wires of the lc1 are grounded to the chassis.

that's correct.

OK I don't have my multi-meter yet, but I was playing with my car some more and maybe someone can tell me what this all means....

Right now I have my car set to:
mainscale = -10... that makes my Idle = 1300, AF < 10

I tried these 2 settings, one got me a lower idle, and the other got me a 14.7 AF like stock:
mainscale = -50... that makes my Idle = 1450, AF = 14.7
mainscale = +30... that makes my Idle = 900, AF < 10

if I set mainscale more then +30 the car just starts to stumble lower in idle and dies (too rich I guess). So does any of this tell us something?

You definitely dont want it plus, was it cold or warmed up first off, and what size injectors are you running? fuel pressure? I still think you got a vacuum leak or throttle not physically shut , dash pot hung up or something, the mainscale is only changing your idle because it was choking it to death with fuel. You gotta dig and find the idle problem first, some years have a screw adjustment on t/b, pull the throttle towards closed manually at the butterfly while its running, see if it moves and idle comes down, spray carb cleaner around intake manifold gaskets, any vacuum hoses, anythiing on intake side, if rpms jump up where you spray, thats were you have a leak. could be vsv hoses, brake booster, hose to bov, fuel press reg, so on.

those were after it was well warmed up.... and i'm runnin 550's... fp =38psi i believe, i can double check that now. i've checked all my IC pipes quickly, i don't see a boost leak. I don't have a way of pressurizing it to know for sure, I'm going to see if I can get something like that rigged up. I'm going to keep looking for leaks and I'll check the trottle, thanks. :)

is that FP w/the vac line on or off?

given your rich condition, i would consider dropping base FP.

base FP = FP w/the vac line off. ALWAYS check/set FP w/the vac line off.
