Awesome car Emik. It's a whole lot easier to assemble the engine completely, including the wiring harness on an engine stand and just stab the entire thing vs. leaning over the fenders. Make sure and buy all new engine rubber while it's easy to get to everything.

Really! Who needs anti locking brakes... ;)

You know I love that car, the ONLY thing I would change is the tail lights and the spoiler... Go 89+ on both, but KEEP the pre89 nose...

BTW: what pistons were in it? Those dont look stock...

You know, my dad has a 91 and i thought about doing that, changing the rear wing to 89+, but i really like the 87-88 better. I like how it's not attached and the 89+ wing is really big. I mean it's long and i'd like it better if it came to a point but on the sides its rounded, just my opinion. I would also have to change my paint, and have the wing painted. And my pistons were arias btw.

Well, about the problem, Larry at SP said it was because i was running 20psi on 92 octane gas, and Jerry, the guy rebuilding it said that he thinks maybe air got in there instead of fuel, too much air, and that did the job. I won't be running higher than 16psi on pump gas, and i think my hiboost will be 21-24psi. It's being bored over another 20 so it will be 40 over, and the max on the 7M is 80 over. I'm also using a 2mil cometics HG this time. I'm also putting in bigger injectors, i have 550s now, but i think im going to go up 680/720 PTE/RCs. And i have the drive the shit out of it, and i mean just put miles on it not race, so when i take it to SP the rings and motor will be broke in, and they can install my AEM and tune it, then ill put it on the dyno, and of coarse THERE WILL BE VIDS!!!!

That looks like a very good place to start, for a project. How did you get your dad in to supras, or was it the other way around?

Believe it or not, it's neither. Ready for this one? My mom got me into supras. She grew up in West Virginia and when the MK3 came out in 87 she was in love. She's always wanted a dark blue supra with the blue interior and when i was 15 my pops bought her a maroon 87 turbo with leather and a 5 speed. Well she didn't like the cluth and my dad asked me if i wanted it and i didnt even know what the hell a supra was. And at age 15 she was mine. Now 4 supras later im hooked and my mom and dad finally got what they wanted. Im just the one who's pushing for my dad to do the upgrades. haha
