I always loved the Orion HCCA series but no way I could afford the HCCA 225 much less HCCA 250 new back then! Still made in the USA at that point (same with Phoenix gold).
I really loved how the 225 can go down to .5 ohm without breaking a sweat, doubling in power by halving the resistance. I have not found any amps that do that as of lately.
Remmber the Pioneer ODR that predates the DEX-P9 (Japan only model). A freind of mine has that system with that hu and processor. All I say is freaking NICE!!

These guys where the ones who pionneered using studio EQ/Gate Limiters etc for the 12v audio system.
That was why that car won 4 world championship back then (and Trucker can attest to how that things sounded).
