My outside family members dont say a word. My Grandma kept saying buy a new car, like I can with my situation... I said ok, buy it for me and Ill sell the supra.. she shut up..

My mom, supports it, I dont blow alot of money on my car but if I had it I would. When I spent $1500 fixing the engine in my garage, making a huge mess and not really knowing what I was doing, she was worried but let me do it...

It started on the first try and she saw hte look in my eyes and Jumped up and said HE DID IT!!!!!! She was screaming with excitement and she gave me a huge hug, the money I spent, the mess I made, the car, none of it mattered to her, she just loves seeing me happy and successful in whatever I do. I love my mommy

Broke and Supra go hand in hand... in more ways than one.

I've never had a family member tell me I should buy a new car :dunno:

they're probably on the same frequency as you are. With my family, automobiles don't really run through their blood, so they don't understand, and i'm probably the first in the family tree to jump on the internal combustion engine.

I dont really mind, I just wanted to post about it.. I am getting alot of flack about spending 10k on my 89 supra. Everyone thinks I should just buy a new car but I think the users here would see it my way.. Right????
They don't think you are insane - they think you are stupid, but they are family and they love you, so they are pulling their punches. They are also probably trying to persuade you to spend your money more wisely.

It's just a joke, lighten up

ya I know. I'm not broke. I like to keep money in savings but I do often run the checking account down to the proverbial fumes on impulse buys for my car.

Buying this whole freakin car after selling the first one was an impulse buy... I was driving down the highway in my blue supra one night before I sold it and thought "deng, now I can start looking for a black 91-92 in the future. oh wait, I know who's selling one. K, sold."

and here I am again spending the Gs :-\
