dude insurance is there for a reason, unless i missed your decision (i didnt read the whole thread) i think you should file this one and get that sucker fixed for free. i sure as hell wouldn't settle for 300 measly dollars, have him help fund your new paint job!

i'm not kidding either. if he was truly at fault... he should pay and you should get more than 300 small ones.
