well mot in the uk anyway. its a yearly test i supose u guys have the same sort of thing?

So i have fixed the rear sills which needed welding up on both sides and hopefully fixed the abs (absolute nightmare as the systems are massively different between facelift and prefacelift).

well hopefully ill have a car to drive from tomorrow that isnt a ford

yep screwed for deffinate lol.

it failed on 6 items:-

1, lower ball joint nut retaining device missing
2, track rod end locking device missing.
3, right hand side front brake flexi hose excessively damaged
4, left hand side front brake flexi hose excessively damaged
5, left hand side front brake pipe excessively corroded
6, left hand side front seat belt anchorage area is excessively corroded

well the first 2 are my fault as i forgot to put split pins into them but the nuts are damaged.

Are the nuts available seperately from toyota?

i can get it welded for like £40

does anyone know if the front flexi hoses are toyota dealer only parts or if there available from like any parts shop?

got 1 advisory aswell. as the bolt is missing from a front abs speed sensor.

for its emissions tests it got:

co reading. <=3.5% actual value was 1.52%

hc (hydrocarbons?) <=1200 ppm actual value was 132 ppm

so i guess ill go get the brakes etc sorted out

the ytest a lot of stuff. last time it failed on:

abs light stays on indicating a fault
left hand side subframe mount corroded
left hand seat belt mount excessively corroded
right hand side sub frame mount excesively coroded
right hand side seat belt mount excesively corroded

the corrosion was a small hole on each sill close to the rear wheel arch

im pissed of at goin 2 that garage like. ive had 3 mots done there and every one has had a fail for corosion on a sill section. one of them he had blatantly pushed a screwdriver into it as there wasnt even rust present on the surface

well as it stands all the repairs etc are gonna come to under £300 so they can finish the job. anyway all our mot fails are on a national database which the police and any other test centre have acces too so itd be pointless. But even if the garage owner is a family friend the tester bloke is a twat
