I am looking to hit at least 400rwhp.

This is what i have so far on my list.

1985 mk II car - $300
bhg 7mgte - $500
hks head gasket - $300 hks stopper
r154 tranny - $300
custom driveshaft - $200
ebay turbo manifold - $200
11lbs flywheel - $140
spec 2 clutch and PP - $400
radiator - $150
Pistons and rods - $1100
titan spring and retainers - $250
valve job - $100
balanced crank - $100
new bearings - $100
P&P - $300
injectors - $300
fuel pump - $100
lexus afm - $100
intercooler and piping - $200
accusump - $250
sequntial bov - $150
oil psi & boost gauge - $100
new water pump (does electric have any performance benefit?) - $???
new oil pump - $???
turbo - $900
dyno tuning - $300
emanage blue - $350
10" wheels - $500
coilovers - $400
misc gaskets bolts hoses - $150

That puts me at $8350.



Anything else to add?

I have all tools, and i wont consider engine stand or lift a part of this car's build because it will be reused on many other builds as well.

OIL, new hoses all around, some times youl need some bolts here n there, some silicone ill think of some more and get back to you.

what turbo u planning to run??
i dont see a manifold in your list so i m guessing your sticking with stock mani, and weither going sp, Jt, or boss turbo??

Dont see anything like SAFC-II or MAFT-PRO. on the list. You have injectors I am guessing 550cc. So are you getting a Lexus AFM, keeping the stock or going to a MAFT-PRO type thing? I did not see a boost controller on there either. What turbo are you buying for 900.00.

i forgot about those.
need a wideband as well to look at A/F ratios.
what turbo costs 900?
i cant think of one.

Thats a great point. How solid is This 300.00 car as it sits? If its been sitting for a long time you should check out the parts that you are going to keep. Is there an engine in there ? You are getting a 7MGTE for it, so you also have to look into the wire harness that was there and will it all match up.

There has to be lots of things that have not been mentioned.. Before you spend any money after getting the car you should really plan it out carefully. Im guessing you are only going to get 1 shot at this.

i think some of your prices are a little off(sorry to say on the low side). also you need a misc budget of prob a few hundred bucks. bolts, gaskets, shipping, fluids, hoses... it all adds up in the end.

I respect that, but just to throw it in there, i had bought a t70 turbo from them and i cant complain one bit, i pushed 26psi through that mofo spinin 3rd and 4th gear on a stock auto trans (blew trans up 2 days later from havin too much fun) they are good turbos, some might have had some bad luck with them before but i take it they improved alot since then, their mani's are good as hell, i have one of those also :)

p.s not to mention i ran that turbo HARD for a year, and its still alive, and will be used again as soon as this monster engine im building is done :D
