My Black 91 Project

I wouldn't install a VG in a supra. The VG is a pain in the ass to work on, compared to a 7m. Nice pick up! Im still kicking my own ass for not saving the 91 turbo, auto, I pick up last summer for $500, all it needed was a HG, but had rust in spots I didnt want to see it.

Yesterday I cleaned the other side of the engine bay. Started to sand down my spoiler to get it ready for painting. Forgot to take pics of the spoiler.

Ok fine here is what's really going into it. :biglaugh: Thought I would see what feed back I'd get from the VG LOL!!

I pulled the 1jz/r154 out of my red 90 supra which is for sale btw. I put her on an engine stand while i'm prepping the blk one for the motor. I'm pretty much swapping over all the parts from my red one and putting it in the black one. Longgggg story!!! Which is in the end of the red supra build thread.

As for the heart

Thanks for posting! I'm going to do pretty much everything myself this time! NO going to shops that don't know what the hell they doing and taking 11 months to do a swap!!

spiller - I started to grind/sand down the rust... Gonna get some metal and cut some templates out and weld new pieces on, shave down the welds. Once we get our lift completely working I'm gonna tear off all the under coating and fix all the rust if any under the car.

empera - no i haven't oiled the cams but I haven't tightened them yet. I'm going to have to take them off to shim the valves. But i'll make sure I do oil them. Thanks for the reminder.

u should do it anyway, even if the bolts arent that tight, just a precaution.

but yea the garage is slowly comin together. We finally got the lift up. Someone put it up wrong though. the floor Mounts are on the wrong sides so the arms hit and don't bottom out completely not letting us to get the arms under the car. Now either we gotta build ramps or take the whole thing apart and do it right this time!! I'm down for doi g it right but these guys are lazy

I need a clutch so I can ayleast drop the motor/trans in the car. I don't know what I should go with. Any ideas?? I used to have the Exedy hyper single. I'm debating to go w that again or go with something else a kik cheaper but holds the power I need. Anyone know how much power the exedy hyper single can hold?

Sanded and primered the spoiler came out pretty good.
