Working on the engine in the garage and on a stand is a lot easier and more convenient for working on after work and after dark so I actually worked on it two days in a row! I've never worked on a Supra engine on a stand before, but this is making me wish the engine was easier to pull for all maintenance.
First off, look what i picked up last night for $150! A buddy of mine picked up a Supra that already had this in it, but he didn't like how it blocked access to the back seat. I don't have a backseat, and he was willing to let it go cheap.

All I did tonight was pull the intake side apart.
About a year or so ago I kept having spider webs pop up in my engine bay, and judging by the toughness of them, I was pretty sure it was a black widow. My suspicions were confirmed upon finding this little fucker! Looks like I got the last laugh.
There were two but the other one got destroyed when removing the manifold.
And the parts pile grows...
See the difference that etching aluminum cleaner made on the IM? Soon it will all be that clean.
My poor Supra has been spread across the whole garage, and I'm not even done taking it apart yet.
And the next step...
