Burn...just kidding. I think the 2jz fan would rob more power because the fan causes a LOT of drag. Whereas, the Hydrofan is run by the waterpump which would still need to be driven whether or not you were running the Hydrofan system.

How much power would he be leaving on the table, maybe 5-10hp? I don't think anyone can feel a 5-10hp SOTP. If I had hydrofan I'd keep it, I didn't, so I used the 2jz fan. Both are great choices, hydro has been proven to be very stout...
not saying it doesn't work as it sits.. but what I am saying is that it is a minimal power gain, but a huge cosmetic one.. cleans up the engine compartment nicely

I'm also saying the cosmetic gain doesn't mean anything to me, either. I don't mind the extra resevoir or lines.
