Sad new is, the roof looks exactly like mine (well, except mine's red), and that means it's going down to the primer...

Looks like a solid car, run through the maintenance parts of the TSRM (retorque subframe, seat bolts, ect ect ect) and inspect everything as surprises suck...

I just recently bought a 89 turbo and the only thing that I have found so far is that it is going to have to have an alignment done.

Very Nice!!!! I didn't know what Scott was talking about when he told me about the new blue supra, but now I see. It looks like an awesome car to me and you 've gotta love the color. I liked your white one, but this one will put it to shame with a little elbow grease and wax...........

"Jay Blue" sounds much much better than "Kwnate Blue", I think zumtizzle might have been on the sauce when he posted that...........:biglaugh:

Very nice car! Props on the auto choice.

He he, not many auto fans out there. Thanks

I drove the car to work this morning and while driving in stop and go traffic on 183 I pulled up next to an old celica. Probably an 83 and it was a coupe with GT-S stylings. Anyway, as I pulled up next to him my car caught his eye and he tried to stay up with me but his lane of traffic wouldn't allow it. It looked as if he was trying to take a picture of my car with his cellphone. Kinda made me feel good my car was getting the looks from a fellow Toyota owner.

Ken, he could have been trying to take a picture of you..........I'm just saying...........:naughty:

Speaking of paying too much. I talked with a guy here locally that just bought a Teal '92 NA. He paid $3800.00 for it which is a lot for an NA, but it is a 92 5speed with sunroof with gorgeous black (dark grey) leather interior. Al things are worth exactly what you're willing to pay for them and not a cent more. This car was worth $3800.00 to him so I'd say he got a good deal. He'd been trying to buy the car from his buddy for the last ten years. He knows everything that has been done to it so he felt good about the transaction. Hopefully Ken feels good about his. I'd say he has a perfect car to start with. It will only get better with time and money, money, and more money..........:biglaugh:

I paid a little more than that but not much. I didn't have a problem doing it because the car is 100% stock and unmolested. They took care of it. Hell, it's got 132k miles on the ORIGINAL headgasket. That has to say something for how they drove it.

sooo... when are the upgrades starting? :evil2:

It's going to get new tires and an alignment next week. After that, money is going to get socked away for whatever I decide to do with it. I will probably be proactive with the engine and get it freshened up. That and an exhaust to make it really come alive. Right now I just want to drive and enjoy.

It doesn't care for cool weather. It was a little difficult to start this morning.

My car is like too so was Lincolns but he got a brand new CSI so that may be our problem. If you ever get ready of the head unit in your car if its the OEM with CD player ill take it :icon_bigg

The unit is a cassette only. No CD player. :3d_frown: I have to admit I was pretty disappointed when I first saw it. But that's ok, I will swap another in soon. If you are still interested in that head unit let me know. It works perfectly.

On the subject of audio, this is the first supra I've had that had all it's speakers in place and working. I have to say the way the sound wraps around you is incredible. Of course it could use a little more bass but I'm happy with it for now.

Also. Today I got new tires for it and man did it improve the ride!!!! It just glides down the road.:icon_bigg

Yep, never understood why people complain about the supra's stereo...

Trying pulling the CSI out and cleaning it as the EGR vents right onto it clogging it.
