Well. Here it is.

Where the hell is that damn buzzer!!!!!!????

I'll give the first person to answer that a cookie of thier choosing(must come pick up in person)

I really want to know. You know what buzzer I'm talking about. I'm going to rip it out, smash it with a sledge hammer and burn it when I get my hands on it.

He's talking about the beeping, like when you put in the key, don't have your seatbelt on, etc.... at least I think he is.

Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind losing it either.

the beeping is only when the key is in the ACC position, in the ON position it goes away after 3 seconds

open up your steering column and right beside the ignition is a little plastic thing with a push button on it... when you turn the key with the doors open the buzzer will beep.. i just pushed the switch out of the way... the buzzer still beeps sometimes, like when you dont have your seatbelt on.. but now you can have it on acc. and have the doors open without that damn buzzer beeping!

It's a part of the integration relay, meaning you can't just take it out, without taking out the relay that controls other stuff as well. Regardless it is a grey relay plugged into the back of the fuse panel on the driver's side kick panel.

Your best bet is to modify the seat and ignition switches so it thinks the key is always out and the seatbelt is always on. Either that or pull the relay and remove the beeper from the circuit board and put the relay back in.

I kind of like it....compared to the buzzer behind the glove box of the AE86s I've had.

I rewired my AE86 to use a Supra integration relay to control everything and now my interior light fades out when I close the door, and it beeps instead of buzzing, etc, it's beautiful. :)

Are you talking about the 'ding' sound?

If you think that's bad, go drive an AW11. It's enough to make your ears bleed.

10 minutes of an AW11 buzzer and you'll be thanking god for the Supra's 'buzzer'. What's more, the A-dub's buzzer is in the pillar right next to the seat belt real, so it buzzes right in your ear.

The AW11 uses the same buzzer as the AE86.

i wonder if toyota ever gave this buzzer as much thought as we are.

There had to be a team somewhere at some time getting payed to come up with a buzzer that would be loud enough and at a tone that would get your attention when you left your lights on or had your door hanging open.
