So explain this to me - where is there a speed limit of 90? I gotta hit the road to get to where-ever that is... lol

If you read where he's from you would see that he's in Canada. So that's 90KPH, not 90 MPH. It would be funny as hell to see you get pulled over in Canada for doing 90 MPH in 90KPH zone. I don't think the Mounties would be laughing though.:icon_bigg

This now makes sense to me - I never really looked twice. All I saw was 140 in a 90... and I was like whoa! I have gotten pulled over before at 115mph in a 65mph (somehow I still have my license?) He wrote me up for 81mph which was 16mph over - just enough to give me a wreckless driving ticket too. The citation fee was only 5 or 10 bucks but the court costs was over 150 - and I never went cause I was out of state when I got the ticket.

Lol, reminds me of another fun time. The bridge I mentioned I always flew over @ 105, once I pushed 115. Oh, yeah, the speed limit is 55. I was running late for a college interview and had a friend w/ me (which is illegal in CA - haven't had my license a full year yet) and traffic was moving a lil slow (like 60ish) and I was in the far left lane. There's this pickup in front of me with NO ONE in front of him for a pretty decent amount-enough to get myself in trouble. So I've flashed my brights, honked the (pathetic, girly sounding) horn, all to no avail. Well, as we get to the bottom there's a motorcycle cop standing w/ his radar gun, which the pickup could see but not me. And I was too stressed to have noticed. If it hadn't been for him, I KNOW I would've been over 100, plus a friend in the car. So 50 over + illegal transportation of a minor. Eek, who knows what that would got me. In Kalifornia to boot!

SO far, and this is only 3 months of doing...

The feeling I got after my 3rd supra purchase (in 3 months)... I purchased am 86.5 5-speed NA and sold it for parts, then purchased an 88 5-speed NA that runs but I just wans't feeling it so i am in the process of selling that, and then just mistakingly I came across my soon to be 92 Turbo Targa 5-speed with crappy cellphone pics... called the guy up at 9:48 at night after work last sunday went over his house at 11, saw it in pitch black, talked about it for about 2 hours then I gave him my Escort X50 as a down payment. Leaving there that night so far has been my best experience... I saved the supra from some kid with a tegra modified, wanting to trade him... I couldn't let it happen, went to my car, as I had no cash on me, Pulled my Escort X50 out, said this is about $400 retail, I will give you this till I get the cash, he had been looking at it (he is a federal officers) and said ok. (actually using teh X50 for $400 of the cars price, as escort is releasing a new one which is $450 and I get a mass discount for working at Best Buy... the x50 cost me $185 when I bought it... :) ).

for those who have not seen the new escort (not sure peoples popularity on radar detectors, but this thing look SWEET)

Driving down to portsmouth to catch the IoW Ferry. Hit the motorway and stomped on the loud pedal in 4th, carried on up the rev range, upshifted to 5th, kept the foot welded to the floor, saw 140mph with ease, sailed past a multitude of BMW's and fast mercs, some of which found my overtaking them in a 16 year old car with faded paint to be unacceptable, and tried to take me on.

They all ended up as blips in my rear view mirror :D

I got rod knock after that though :(

Memory Number 1: When they brought my Supra out of the Junkyard on a flatbed.
Memory Number 2: Ripping the non-functional aftermarket alarm harness out of my car.
Memory Number 3: Road Head
Memory Number 4: Actually making the 300 mile drive home after the BHG job on my JDM motor without a hitch
Memory Number 5: Slicing my finger open on a cut pipe on my JDM motor when I was unloading it off of the truck.
Memory Number 6 and the best one of all: Being NA 'till it blew.

1)The first time I did 240 km/h down #1 hwy near my house.

2) when I blew past a cop doing 240 all i saw was white, then lights, then gone.:biglaugh: I emideatly took the next exit and drove like i stole it throught the back roads. Were there are no houses. never had more of a rush.

I'ld love to know what that cop was thinking thought im sure all he was was a blue streak.

when i actually got pissed at another driver on the 2 lane highway i was driving on. he kept on trying to pass me on the left, so i slowed down to 60 and i let him get along side me. i heard his car go WOT so i dropped it to 3rd and gunned it. ended up whooping his ass all the way to the top of 4th (r154/7m-ge about 110). the funny thing was that i pulled away from a 300c (hemi) and he kept on trying to pass me. when he got behind me again, i ended up slowing back down to 65 and then he passed me the first chance he got. i saw that he had the hemi and just started laughing, got off the next exit then went to school.

Mine was on a trip to Orlando from Miami x-mas of 2005 in my 91 mk3. I was halfway to Orlando on I-95 where there are no lights when I started hearing a tapping...My bro was driving cuz it was my turn to get some sleep...anywho...I'm taking my nap when i hear this tapping...I quickly look at the gauges and realize there is no oil pressure...I told my brother and before I knew it i hear "BOOOM!".. Threw a rod threw the block!! ahh!!!...My cuzn had to drive from Orlando to tow my Supra with her trailblazer. She also brought like 8 cuzn's. lol. We towed it to the closest gas station, parked it till after new year's and then had to rent a u-haul flatbed so my cuzn could tow it with her car to MIAMI...the whole time i was sitting in the back seat with the nose of my Supra looking at me...what a beauty...in the end..it was a clean jdm engine...oh well, got another..

Mine would have to be when i got the car. Ever since i was about 12 I saw my uncles supra (now my supra) sitting next to his house. He works at toyota, so he never did anyhting aftermarket to it. Every time i went to his house, i would run up to the car and just stare at it. Eventually, I started telling myself what i would do to the car. On my 16th birthday, my parents woke me up early (weekend) and made it sound like they were mad at me for something. They made me go outside and follow them into the garage, still acting pissed. My dad opened the garage door, and there she was! Just sitting in my garage with a big bow on top...lol. I was like a fat kid in a candy store, I jumped right in and sat there in it for about 20 mins. I didnt have my licence yet, but my uncle was about to dump the car, so they took it off his hands. Without a doubt, that is the most memorable moment with my Sup.

Well I went to Oregon to get my car and still didnt belive that I was buying a black 89 turbo, five speed but once we sighned the paper and I drove off with the windows down and relized my dream came true I would have to say it was the best feeling.

Oh and today was a good day because my tranny has a chiped tooth in second, third, and first so I finially fired it up to go and get it fixed and their is nothing better than to start in first and shift to fourth and it still being fast.

And not to mention all the bitches that love my car! :]

2nd: Outbraking an Integra and GTI and the end of the front straight at Summit (06')

My greatest memory is when I went out on the interstate and raced one of my friends in my Supra. His fuel shutoff kicked in at about 120 but I was already long gone! :icon_bigg I kept on climbing til I got up to somewhere between 155 and 160! It was the rush of a lifetime! Plus the look on my buddy's face when I looked over at him was priceless...then he puked when we got off at the next exit...haha. Those were the best days ever!

My most memorable so far.. Spending almost 9k on 2 supras (1 BHG and a 2nd that I did not plan to own!) and not driving either one yet.. :)

I hope to replace that with a better one when they are finished.
