I saw this while I was searching for something else, I must have missed it when it was originally posted.
First, 240 tie rods will not work, they are a different thread on the inner tie rod.
Second, aftermarket tie rods that give you more angle work just like my spacers do, the part of the tie rod that houses the end of the inner tie rod with the ball on it is machined to space the steering stop away from the rack. This works on the same principle that my spacers do. And you will need an alignment after installing any kind of steering mod that will give you more angle.
Not to sound like I'm just trying to push my parts, but my spacers, are the easiest way to get more angle. You will need to adjust your alignment after this, but you would also need to adjust your alignment after installing any tie rods. There are some tips and tricks in the thread in the group buy section on ways to install these without screwing up your alignment too much.
As for hubs, aftermarket hubs won't do anything. Did you mean spindles? If you meant spindles, you will not be able to bolt up another cars spindles. And there's a ton of reasons why. Different geometry, different ball joint sizes, different tapers. If you wanted to use another cars spindles, then you would have less trouble swapping over their whole front suspension and designing new mounts for everything.
And if you guys feel that you need more than stock tie rods with my spacers, I can design and make tie rods. I haven't decided if I'm going to yet, but I've done it for the 240 before and can do it for the supra. Again, it just comes down to if the demand is there. If it's not and a couple people want me to make them, I will but the price will be much higher than I want it to be.
