Well, I've read a fair number of posts that say it's crap and a few that state that while it's not a nice as the C's or SS v3 it is an improvement.

That's the cheapest I've seen even that specific model go for though. (Of course there's still plenty of time for it to go up.)

I suppose that if I had the cash I would probably spend up to $75 on one to find out for myself. If I didn't like it after that I'd just post it back up for sale and probably come out even.

So, let us know what YOU think of it! ;)

I don't know what the source of the complaint is. It's not dampened like the stocker, the C's or the SSv3, that could be part of it. I suppose it could let a fair amount of vibration travel along the arm and might feel clunky when shifting as a result of the lack of dampening.

I don't remember what the complaints were but I remember a few threads on this shifter. SOunds like this guy might take the money and run. I hate ebay.

i've never had a problem and i've bought over 50 items on ebay with not a single problem ever. Every time i get it within the week.

I bought an upper gasket set for my supra and the money order was cashed and I still haven't got the parts I ordered last summer.

I'm glad it works for you. I don't hate you for it, lol. I ended up getting the gaskets elsewhere for $130.00 PLus the $85 I spent on the ebay set. Expensive gaskets. That's all I'm saying.

I have one and took it out and put a JK in. It just didn't fit in the housing well. Its movement inside the housing made it shift worse than stock. I attempted to put double bushings in, but that made it so tight that it couldn't be shifted at all. I am spoiled with my JK with my original WRX shift knob. I miss that car.

If you've ever driven in a car with a true short shifter you'd understand why it's desirable for the MKIII. In some vehicles I think they're too much, but the MKIII's throw is just too long. It's definitely on my list.

My 91 shifted just fine before the hg blew. I mean is a short shifter all that necessary?? Can't you just choke up on the stick for the same effect?
no, ie. the sogi mod will shorten height, not the distance it takes to get to gears.

This is the version 2 shifter. I have used it.

I do not suggest this product. It does not fit turbos and barely fits the NA (only 2 bolts fit).

They made it wrong, the lower shifter bushing is smaller then stock and creates slop. The threads in the top are for Mazda not supra.

Those things aside, I was able to get it to work. The shift action was perfectly smooth and short. If those other issues weren't there it would be great.

Actually, shortening the top does reduce the throw distance of the knob. However, it also reduces your leverage.

Yup, it shortens the distance required to move the shifter, it doesn't reduce the actual angle change required.

An actual short throw shifter reduces the angle you need to move the shifter, which also reduces your leverage.

Anything you do that results in moving it not as far will mean you need to push harder to move it.

I have the mookeeh shifter. It was a good improvement, although not the best.

Was tight when I first put it in, the it got looser but not bad enough that I can't shift. The shifter is 2 pieces that screw together. Mine broke loose and I had to put a thread lok on it.

Save money and check out the group buy for nashman's shifters. You'd be better off. If you just want a little upgrade cheap the mookeeh hasn't given me any problems.

Maybe its how you drive it, who knows...

I have an 87 turbo. Mine fit in very easily. I do not know if i have version 2 or not though...

I bought one and it was totally junk. Very sloppy and I thought if I was going to throw it through the gears it might just break. Would not recommend.

Try a nismo shift nob, lol.

I used to have a taurus sho. I'm not boasting. But the throw on that shift was ungodly it was not possible to speed shift it wich reduced it's quickness.

Again I have not had such a problem as to think about a short shifter for my supra. But hey...., Knock yourselves out.

And let the rest of us know when a good one is finally offered. Cause I hear nothing good about them but I'm open minded.
