Check out Nash's shifter thread. Grim was nice enough to do a before and after overlay of the shift length (stock vs nash).

If you are going to spend $$, just do it right the first time (that is what I keep telling myself...)

This is partially true. I'm running the same TRD shifter that I ran on the stock shift shaft. I also have a brand new Factory shift knob ready to go on there for the Supra events - not driving. Out of the box the shifter is threaded and fits just great.

You can do a hack and remove the upper part - for those of you that like to shift with a little nub. If you do that you will need to rethread the new shaft or get a shift knob that uses set screws.

Oh yeah...

And for those of you that don't like your stick being that long remember that the cars with the "Short Height" shifters have their center console up higher than ours so it makes the shifter LOOK shorter.
