Should I just sell and buy an is300? Don't the is300's have a 2jzgte in them already? I mean like the exact eng of a supra.

IS's have a 2jzge, the n/a version of the Mkiv Supra's engine. If you'll have enough money for an IS300 after you sell your Mkiii, why don't you just save a little more after the sale and buy a TT Mkiv? Your quest for the 2jz would be over, but you'd probably end up selling your Mkiv because installing exhaust takes too much "modification" or something.

Ok. I want a 2jzgte powered everyday car. I can't afford a mk4 with low milage. I have an mk3 and can afford a s2k. I want to just be able to do little modification (like a one day or 2 day project) and go. Ill have to dent the firewall if I want twin turbos only right? and Ill have to get 1jz mounting brackets? is that it?

......wow, you want to be able to do this is a day or two?do you plan on doing this yourself in a day or two??? if so i have some words of advice......don't do it. not to beat up on you or anthing but it sounds like you barely have basic knowledge of cars much less the technical background to do such a project. y dont u just put a 1j into your mk3? im quite sure a with a 1j it'll have more than enough potential for your needs and its cheaper than a 2j swap. whatever you decide to do its not gonna be plug and play like what u want however the 1j swap is fairly easy to do but its does require you to do a bit of work.

drops right in and plugs right up. 6 hours tops

lol For some people this is kind of how it is though. Not 6 hours of course, but 12 hours would be reasonable for a few people I know.

Well does the 2jzgt vvti perform the same and handle like 900hp on stock bottom internals. I'd like to use this. will if go into an is300?

:3d_frown: That's not a 2jz dude. It's just a performance/upgrade kit for the Mkiv that already has one. I take back my previous statement. Don't buy a Mkiv. I heard there's a pretty sick Civic Si on craigslist these days... go check it out.

I wasn't joking. Wasn't necessarily talkin about Supra swaps either, though. My friend just recently did a full swap (KA24-->KA24, wiring and everything) in his S13 in 7 hours. 2jz swaps are quite a bit more difficult, I know.

ALOT more difficult.. hell if were talking 240 swaps, we've SR swapped one in about 5 hours, maybe less with harness. KA, thats a joke, maybe an hour, or two if were being lazy.

No. VVTi engines have weaker internals, but seem to be able to hold down decent power with a good tune. Even then, you'll be unable to use a 2JZGTE performance package - There are quite a few differences between the two engines.

Not being funny, After reading this thread I get the feeling that you lack the technical knowledge to do a 2JZ swap successfully into anything.

Get a MKIV TT auto - Saying you can only afford one with High mileage is not a reason to avoid buying one. If you believe any engine vendor when they say claim their aristo motors have uber low miles, you need your need testing.

wow. maybe if you would learn how to read. i was asking if that would fit on an is300. since that they have 2jz's.

You're attempting to oversimplify a complicated project. That's why everyone is mocking you and giving you a hard time. You haven't done the basic research, nor do you have the basic mechanical, electronic and overall automotive knowlege needed to make this run successfully, or even at all.

However you persist on pushing for a simple answer to this question.

Can it be done? Yes, by someone familiar with both cars and a substantial amount of automotive knowlege.

Can it be done within the parameters you provide? No, most certainly not, you're setting yourself up for failure. Your "I'm not listening to you" attitude is why you are getting flack.

So dump the attitude. If you know everything, why are you wasting our time asking basic questions?

Either admit you don't know, and exhibit a willingness to learn, or get the fuck out. Nobody around here has time to help you fail, you're obviously more than capable of doing that on your own.

You're about here right now:

I come from a land down under
A LOT of guys here fuck up a simple GE>GTE swap and even get an Auto>Manual wrong and take weeks to get it right.

Swapping a complex SYSTEM like a 2jgte into anything is a big ask if you want to do it right and have EVERYTHING work, most swaps end up as Cletus botch jobs with things deleted after they can't be made work and the justification of "It saves weight or I never use that anyway"......

Wow, congratulations? Dude you don't need to be a douche... it was his first engine swap. I thought he did pretty damn good.
