Modifications for 2JZGTE Swap?

I want to swap a 2jzgte eng kit into my mk3 1992 supra. Would I need to modify anything at all to put it in. I have enough money to sell the supra and buy a diff car too so tell me what you think..

You'll need to get 1jz engine brackets since you have a 89-92 supra.

Hit the firewall about 1.5 cm to clear the second turbo if you keep the
twins...which you'll do cause it is nice to feel the sequential turbos
boosting at any engine speed :biglaugh:

Since you have the 6 speed with the 2jz means it came from the mk4 supra.
Which it means that you have a rear sump oil pan under the engine.But
you will have to work on the 6 speed trans issue.The getrag trans will
fit under the car but you'll have to do some mods and a custom trans
mounting plate along with a custom diff axle.And you'll need to get lower
gears on the differential.92 mk3 have 3.73 gear LSD.With a 6 speed trans
you'll need a 3.1 or a 3.2 gear LSD,otherwise you'll be going through gears
like crazy and spinning the tires like hell :nono:
I think it worths to put the 6speed on the car,since you have it and it
comes complete with the 2jz motor.If you didn't have a trans then best
choise was to keep the proven and good R-154 trans of your car,while
you will only need to get a 1jz bellhousing and flywheel.7M's disc/clutch
will work fine with the 2jz.

give up and sell whatever you have buy a new car because its retarded to think you can do any swap without 'modding'

How did it not help?? There is a list. You have a list. Compare the lists and see what you are missing. Read the thread. It tells of every modification needed.

There is no such thing as "not doing any modding".

How did you get the impression that putting a Toyota motor in a Honda (s2k) could be done without any modding?

An is300 at least came with a 2JZ from the factory, however you've got a lot of work to do even in that case.

There's nothing plug and play about engine swaps. Anyone who has told you differently is lying.

I want to just be able to do little modification (like a one day or 2 day project) and go. Ill have to dent the firewall if I want twin turbos only right? and Ill have to get 1jz mounting brackets? is that it?

and we are telling you its not a 1 day thing and that you need to actually read the forum you are posting in. there is more information than you can shake a stick at on the first page alone.

as for the S2K you are on the wrong forum, you want a honda forum for that.

thats actually a good idea just buy a honda..... swaps are never a one or two day project on any other car...

Wiring is usually the ongoing headache. And the little stuff that you always don't catch the 1st time around.

There's no such thing as a "little modification (like a one day or 2 day project) and go" motor swap Supra.

You're talking about putting a motor (and wiring harness, and fuel system, and turbo system) into a car that it doesn't belong in.. It's not going to be that easy.

Should I just sell and buy an is300? Don't the is300's have a 2jzgte in them already? I mean like the exact eng of a supra.
