Fixing your girl's car
Ok, talked to my step father, the only voice/source of reason in my life, besides all of you guys. He got me some pills. Xanex and big white anti inflammatorys or something or other. They worked a little, but I woke up with it throbbing, so I pounded 3 more.

I think I need xanex for life. I have been diagnosed with bipolar and was on 1500mg of Lithium for about a year. Then I got out of an institute (mental) and just stopped taking the Lithium. It has been a little over a year since I stopped the Lithium, but this one little blue xanex did more than 1500mg of Lithium EVER did.

I am a class A degenerate. See what happens when you grow up without discipline or any source of role models besides other degenerate wife beaters. I have no common sense, I know this for a fact.

I'm sorry guys. I am just trying to maintain a life on the outside.

Edit: I didn't know working 12 hours a day 7 days a week putting big rigs back on the road was a waste of life. Where do you think my money comes from? Better yet, why don't you ask my boss how big of a waste of life I am.

I come from a land down under
You can either be a victim and whine for the rest of your life or you can do something about it.

The Hardest part (accepting you have a problem) is done, now is the time to choose a route for the remainder of your life.

Life's a bitch then you die, what you do with the time in between is totally up to you.

Having said that ENOUGH of the name calling bullshit and this goes for everyone posting in this thread.

Next person to shoot their mouth off gets a holiday.

Frank, I was recently diagnosed Bi-Polar as well and I can tell you that going off your meds is a bad idea and certainly NOT helping you make good decisions. Get back on your meds.

Comin back like that is pretty difficult to do. Going from the bottom and back up isn't easy, and alot of people don't make it.

Honestly, it doesn't matter what it is that you have that's giving you that pain, knowing what it is, is the important part. Atleast get it diagnosed so you know what you're dealing with, because as people have said, it won't be getting any better. If your immune system hasn't faught it off already, it isn't going to... A simple infection that 30 dollars at the counter and a week of swallowing pills would have taken care of, can, and will, kill you.

I'm very serious, you may very well die if you leave this alone too long.

Look at it this way Frank: Take a good hard look at all the bullshit and hardship you've had to go through to get to this point in your life; all the crap, all the fights, all the shit that people threw at you. And yet, somehow you still made it.

And now you're going to throw away all that struggle, all that work, by getting taken out by a stupid infection? Granted that what you have may not be life threatening, but there's an equal chance that it is.

Nothing is more important than your health, clearly you of all people should be able to see that, having been where you have. After all is said and done, no matter what it takes to make that pain in your skull go away, you'll wonder how you ever lived in that blinding pain... it is amazing what the human body can take.

Frank, listen to reason, go see a doctor and figure out what's going on. Taking anything to cover up the symptoms isn't fixing the problem, only letting it get worse. You don't just add more coolant and change the oil when you blow a headgasket... you fix the headgasket.

it seems like you have some positive out looks which is good. you implied that you are a valuable employee which is a great feeling. build off of that.

despite your lousy state of mind youve still been able to find some worth, youll soon see that your opinions of your self are nothing more than an expression of the emotions you are feeling inside, and nothing more.

meaning youre probably not as bad as you think.

depression is extremely difficult to deal with. i personally think that medication is an extremely bad idea, while they do help some people, i personally think the risk is extremely high when medicating for emotional issues. just be careful with those meds.

Glad to see that you are on a path to get help. But taking meds from your step father is the wrong path. STOP TAKING HAND OUT DRUGS AND GO SEE A DOCTOR, for the physical pain. Once this is resolved, you might be surprised how much better you feel over all. Physical pain can cause depression and other emotional problems...... What tells me you are in better shape than you think is the fact that you see your problems, and perhaps some of the causes. Hang in there.

You might want to start a new thread "my recovery" and let this thread go away. Turn the page, today is a new day.

Never hate on anyone who's willing to get out there and fight the good fight against whatever it is that plauges them.

It's the people who lay around and do nothing about it that I can't stand.

You're a fighter Frank, but that doesn't always entail throwing literal punches. In this case, fighting the fight is getting to the right doctor and getting this dealt with. Anyone who'd talk smack about you for seeing a doctor isn't someone you should listen to.

That and there is a big difference with going to see the doctor because of a cough and going to see the doctor because of something that may be destroying your hearing.

Sounds like you have an alright head on your shoulders so pick yourself up and change your life. You obviously aren't perfectly happy with it now so do something about it.

You're a grown man. You realize you had shitty role models, you realize you don't make the best decisions at times. Now it's time to do something about it.

Life can be an incredible thing, but the best parts of it aren't just handed to you whether you had a great dad or not. Life is what you make of it.

OK, as I've been there, done that I'll explain a little...

I was on antidepressents for a long time. Never knew WHY I was depressed until I started looking back in the past and found it. I won't talk about what it was, but it's something that I blocked out.

I came to deal with it, drop the baggage and have been better off the meds ever since.

I think it all boils down to this- Everyone needs something to live for.

And this- You don't know what you have, until it's gone.

I have a MAJOR problem with remembering those 2 sayings.

The only thing I live for is money or possessions. Pretty sad, but that is what makes me happy, or at least I "think" it does. But anyone that lives for superficial things like possessions has a lot to learn.... BUT I look around me and that's all I see. Boats here, 2 mill houses there. It makes me infuriated because I work harder than SOME of these people not all....

I think it's the lack of any meaningful relationships in my life.

Same here. Sexual abuse by a neighbor's son. Counseling helped...a lot!

Remember that everything is ashes. When all is said and done and you are gone, the expensive car will rust out, the boat will eventually decay away in the sun, the fancy house will be sold to the next young couple; and your name will be but a whisper in its halls, forgotten.

All things that we possess and own, buy and sell, will one day mean nothing if there is no one to pass them on to. No one to hand down their meaning and purpose to that will maintain and respect that which is given to them, otherwise they are ashes anyway.

Immortality is a state of thought: In that the ideas and principles that you lived for will live on in part through the people you entrusted those ideas and principles into; namely your friends and children. Without them, after you pass on, your name will be but characters engraved on a stone.

No one will live forever, but what we live for can. Perhaps that in itself, is worth dieing for.

Frank, in the statement you just posted you affirmed that you want something better, you want something more out of your life. I have nothing but the highest respect from a statement like that. You are the only one with the power to change your life, and make it whatever it is you want.

We are all fucked up in one way or another, it all depends on how we carry it. We all have things in our lives that bother us, but that is why there are people to talk to. One hour of talking to someone that either truely cares, or is payed to care can help in a MAJOR way.

I know the state of Oregon has county health departments, and "Minor Emergencies".. Usually if you explain that you're low income and dont have medical insurance they'll set up a payment plan or give you a very discounted fee.. I know in Oregon Minor Emergencies charge $75 to be seen.. Health Departments usually charge around $25-$50... You should also look up other resources or ask the Health Department for local anger support groups.. I am very sure to say that I think you'd benefit from a support group to deal with your stress and anger.. When I get really stressed our, or allergies, I get the same symptoms.. It could be something small, or something huge... Stress can kill you... I think you need to call your local community consortium or Department of Human Services to find your local county health department and schedule to be looked at.. Its better to spend $50 now to be looked at, than spending thousands for an emergency room visit when your symptoms are too much..
