1. so for ac, what exactly do i need to do, im still not understanding fully. do i need anything from the stock ecu or stock harness?

2. as of now, yes, MSII can only monitor knock, but in the next release, it will be able to control timing:

I don't know were the switch power comes from on a MKIII but on mine I ran power to the a/c on switch then through my hi/lo pressure switches and then to the a/c clutch. The a/c compressor power isn't on the engine harness so you don't need anything from that. The only thing that was on there is the plug that send the signal (+) to the ecu to idle up. The expansion valve controls the refrigerant flow. The switches are there just in case there is a problem with either no pressure and to save the compressor or too high of pressure, maybe a fan stops working.

I know this is an old thread but I need some info:
1.Is your car overheating with 2 x Permacool 12"s

2. can a 36-1 wheel fit on the back of the pulley instead, which would allow you to retain stock fan

1. car overheated in the beginning because of cooling system problems, now it is fine. i have stock radiator.

2. no idea about that. didnt seem possible because it seems like the pully wouldnt sit all the way on the crank/key. you can make a different style sensor mount and keep the stock fan, which i am planning on doing shortly.

Easier to do what Duane does and that is do the 60-2 or 36-1 cut outs right on the pulley itself.

Only have to pull the Trans and Flywheel to do it no need to pull the motor out!

Could you take a close up pic of what the VR sensor looks like?

I just helped a buddy mount an Electromotive 60-2 wheel and magnetic sensor on a mazda block and was curious how similar the sensors are to see if I can use a similar bracket.

Havent had a chance to get to a junkyard to get the 36-1 wheel and sensor yet.

Also for the electromotive sensor, the bracket has to be made from a non-ferrous metal, is that true for the VR sensor too?
