"That's enough.

This thread is done... it was a bad idea, I'm not going to be apart of it.
I was trying to help with a company that needed it. What I thought was a reasonable price, considering what I PAID for lights, and my time for installing them.
(You can check my ebay, I paid around 30 dollars for the lights... granted you can get them cheaper somewhere else.)

I don't want to upset any of you guys... so this is done.

Plus shipping."

It's bullshit how people are attacking the price of this. I dont give a shit if the bulbs cost $10 or $40. If he's charging $50, he's charging $50! Who the hell cares? "Ripping off the Supra community"........ what the hell is that supposed to mean? If someone wants to turn a profit, it isn't any of your damn business if he is or isnt. One has every right to make some money for a service. If you think it is too costly ........ dont do it and keep it to your mouth shut.... dont accuse him or 'ripping off the 'supra community''. Ripping off the 'supra community' would be doing a shit job and not standing by the product or misrepresenting a service. My 2 cents.

Sorry you got flamed for taking a chance on being an entrepreneur and providing something new. Put your post back up, it was a good idea.

None of your fucking business
This would be like shipping out a lamp and paying someone to "install" the bulb in it. I like the fact that people are offering their services, but this could have just been a "How to thread". This is such an easy thing to do, that to charge someone $60-$70 dollars after shipping is outrageous. Post a parts list and a little write up. Yeah $10 profit isn't much but in my mind is taking money from people that don't know much about their car. That is not ripping people off, its taking advantage of peoples lack of knowledge. That's whats wrong with this.

you have been here less then a year and and you already know how it works?

there is the reason why we have this comunity, is to help each other. hence group buys for example most of them are done by members to help get the stuff cheaper and most of the time the organising party does not get any profit. the only they get is cheaper parts and respect of comunity.

now this one made me a little mad for a few resons:

1. brent has been here for a long time and should know better that ripping of rest of us who never tried to rip off him.

2. the thing that mede me mad the most is price $50 + shipping. basicaly he was trying to cover the method how he does that, since if he would not he could just send you the bulbs. please explain me otherwise why would some one be unable to change cluster bulbs after removing it?????? if he would charge $50 for 5 bulbs then it would be clear what we are geting and i doubt that so many people would respond to this thread as they want it. but naming it fancy LED kit sound better does it not? and by sending clusters back to you no one would know how you did it (you could tel then that you took entire cluster apert and rewired it and most of us trust you and not check it)

3. you say you have spent over $30 for the bulbs? bs the picture you posted clearly shows total price of $23.26. so basicaly you make $26.74 for replacing 5 bulbs and if you think it is not a rip of you need to think again. also for example i am in cali so shipping of my cluster to maryland and back would be another $20 minimum. so in the end i would spend $70 for $23.26 worth of the bulbs + 2minutes of your time

4. if someone would do a group buy on this (like led lights cheaper than you can get on ebay) that would be helping out the comunity. but this is very hard to believe and it a shame some one like brent and mcd is involved in it. anyways you had my trust before but it a big big bs you tried to pul of here and i hope something positive will come ot of this. meanwhile i personaly will not deal with brent or mcd until we get appology and agknowledgement that they understand they fucked up.

one more thing just deleting your post does not show that you understand what you and MCD have tried to do here, it just shows that plan how to rip of fellow supra owners dd not work out and you are off to find something else that would work.

i think this comunity is due and apology. also owner of the one kit that was sold should be reimbursed his money.

This is Brent's and NJsupra's (right?) idea.

Im not sure what he does to make it work, nor do I want to know. I simply saw something that I liked, and wanted him to persue it further - I wanted to see if I could sell these and provide him with some business, and he return the favor to me.

This is exactly why I made the "how to" writeup thread as soon as I saw what was going on.

When I gave all my info on this mod to brent I didnt think he would use it to take advantage of SM members. Thats why I was angry. But I accept his apology. He also said that MDC came up with the whole idea to get people to mail their clusters.

ok enough is enough.....

i see both sides here....but the attacking going on for what very well COULD be a misunderstanding is a little much....

bottom line however is this would have the same rules as the for sale section....constructive criticism is allowed....but no outright attacks on the product OR the PRICE.

im not saying im agreeing with anyone on either side....but the general flow of this thread has gone way off keel.

anyone who is interested in this mod can either use the how to thread written up in this same section...or PM mk3brent or MDC for their service.
