ok couple questions. is it rewire or replacement?? if it is done like this http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13045 then you are selling around $20 (retail) worth of bulbs for $50. if not how is it done?

judging from pictures it is replacement leds as leds are know to concentrate light (center of led) and not to distribute it evenly (that is why simple led flash light does not need reflector)

for exhample here is my gauge cluster:

DSC03665.JPG

DSC03664.JPG

and it uses regular red bulbs, it is bright enough and evely distibuted accros the panel. total cost around $4.

anyways i dont want to be an as but if you just replacing bulbs for $50 i think its a rip of of your fellow supra brothers. if you are actualy rewiring it and adding more leds for even distibution of light then never mind and good luck.

So how's it lookin? I would love to have this done. Would go great with my interior color scheme. The suspense is killing me..... And i was wondering if you could do something about the clock.....can you change the color of that to say red?........

hmmmm i have to say....looks like you need some work still on those...there is MAJOR hotspotting going on...

might want to try larger mm LEDs and/or better placement...even creating their own holes....

i have done this on a few clusters....i didnt want to offer it to the public because it was simply too much of a hassle to test each cluster properly....

however i do offer the climate control color changes for those who asked.

MDC...good idea...but needs some work to make it look right.

maybe some wider viewing angle LED's would do the trick?

possibly but i dont think it will completely solve the hotspotting...it would probably help a lot though....the only real way to fix that is add some circuits and create new even spots for the LEDs throughout the cluster.....

holy rip off batman...if someone is gonna send u their gauge cluster and pay u 50 bux to twist out the bulbs in the back and replace them with 10 dollar bulbs..then they are either retarded or just fuckin lazy..out of all people i couldnt believe brent trying to rip off the supra community...:nono:

guys if yer gonna take yer clusters out, just turn the thing around and take the bulbs out! plug the new LED bulbs in that u can easily get from ebay or even an auto parts store and thats it! its that simple! if yer gonna pay 50 bux then brent better personally come to your house and wipe your ass for you.

ehh that was all my idea. I gave Brent all the info and links on what to buy. He then took my ideas and all my info, and used it to try to make a profit on SM members through MDC motorsports
, all while giving me ZERO credit. And now he has conveniently blocked me from his AIM. This is why I made the writeup thread.

Yes you are absolutely right. You need to add spots for more led's...

This is Brent's and NJsupra's (right?) idea.

Im not sure what he does to make it work, nor do I want to know. I simply saw something that I liked, and wanted him to persue it further - I wanted to see if I could sell these and provide him with some business, and he return the favor to me.

If you don't like the idea, think its a rip off, or know how to do it yourself, thats fine. You're entitled to that. Not every one is a super sneaky detective, nor does every one have time to do things on thier own.

OH WAIT THERES MORE!

Jonnyredline Id keep your mouth shut real quick like. You're the last person to talk about rip offs. How ripped off were all of the community members with those "wonderful" posts you made a couple of months ago. Go back to SF and shoosh.

I didn't block you bro.
Just haven't been online.
After buying them and installing them, MDC only makes like 10 dollars.

It's just for some people who don't want to do them themselves.
Why are you so mad, Steve?

That's enough.

This thread is done... it was a bad idea, I'm not going to be apart of it.
I was trying to help with a company that needed it. What I thought was a reasonable price, considering what I PAID for lights, and my time for installing them.
(You can check my ebay, I paid around 30 dollars for the lights... granted you can get them cheaper somewhere else.)

I don't want to upset any of you guys... so this is done.

To quote myself.....
I sold my first one to Chris, I will be using that money to replace mine.

also.

Steve told me originally which wedge lights would work with our clusters, and I never added his name to the posts.

so give him the credit.
So I apologize for neglecting that.
