Why not just install LED all around the gauge, vs only at the origianl positions. That way the entire gauge will be the same brightness. Like the way the MK4 guys did it.

I think the pics seem to be lit up evenly. I think its just a shadow from the dash overhang and steering wheel that is making it look not as bright

I'm down for red. Just as long as u also sell me an led light for the light around the key ignition as well. and try to find a way to change the color of the clock. that green is getting old. :biggrinbo

hey brent what are they just normal 194's bulb in there? I think shaved LEd's would be pretty awesome. just PITA getting the right resistor and everything. just trying to help out.

Wow that's a good price. I paid about $80-90 just in LED's... I got very wide angle ones though for the 194's, each bulb has 1 LED facing straight surrounded by 5 more tilted at an angle to give a wide angle dispersion. But that lets you put them all in the stock locations and have even distribution. I'll post pics when I'm done.
