So what Boost controllers are you guys using?

What have you used? What has been your favorite thus far?

I bought a cheapo MBC Turbo XS replica that i have not got to work at all..

What are some trusted brands and controllers?

Something alittle Un related.
What kind of power difference will you see wih a stock CT-26 with a 5psi difference?(Ie. going from 8psi to 13psi)

Been covered a lot before. There was a good recent thread even.

Anyways, EBC will cost more and generally offers in cabin "PID" adjustment (control when it starts to open and how fast it opens, etc...). MBC will be super cheap, but can be hard to adjust correctly and may spike on you. If you have the $200-400 get an EBC otherwise get a good MBC (or make your own) for under $100.

Oh and 8psi to 13psi would be pretty noticable. Assuming stock components everywhere, 8 psi is basically stock power. 13 is close to fuel cut (going outside the stock ECU air map) and somewhere near 300 hp if i was making a blind, extremely vague guess.

My car is very basic in mods
I Don't remember where but i think i read on here somewhere that our car can make as much as 11hp per PSI (thinking to myself thats alot) any truth to this?

I run a AEM Tru boost gauge/controller. The reason why I went with this setup is because instead of having two seperate electronics in the car, boost gauge itself and boost controller, You have it all built in. Its mounted right in my A pillar pod.

It was an easy install, if you have basic wiring knowledge. Its a PITA at first to learn how to use it but there is a 3 step video on You Tube that shows exactly how to set it up and now with the touch of a button I go from whatever I want to daily drive at which is setting a to whatever I want my second boost setting to be.

8PSI will feel slow as shit once you turn it up to 13. I went from like 8 to 16 and its a huge difference.

Just like suprarx7nut said, 13 will be close to fuel cut. Ive seen some people hit at 12 and some a little higher.

Off topic, How did the driftmotion intercooler fit. Did you have to move anything? etc thanks

16psi on the Stock Turbo? i thought are stock turbo was good for 13-14psi and that at 15psi its out of it just adds Heat?

I do have 560cc and Lexus AFM for fuel cut.

All piping works great direct bolt in on the front braces that hold the front bumper on i believe 2 17mm bolts hold it on the front veyr sturdy mounting place..
I had to relocate Oil cooler/AC Dryer/Overflow tank for radiator

Your going to hear mixed things about everything. MBC EBC etc. Only reason I really like it is because its simple once its programed the touch of one button right in your face you can change boost setting. its easy to use for me now once you get used to it. and it has scramble boost setting if you choose to use. which is nice and your dont have an extra piece of electronic if you care about your interior. the supra is kind of hard to mount things you know.

I typically run on like 15 but I bumped it up to 16, still pulled strong etc. But yes stock turbo.

okay you should be good with fuel cut then, I havent hit it yet lol. I kind of wanted to but glad I havent.

Where did you relocate the stuff, especially the AC dryer.

A/C dryer i took to a shop to relocate it. i had them mount it under the driver side headlight and they had to add some length to the Ac lines.

Overflow is now under the passenger head light

Oil cooler sits under the a/c dryer about 6 inches from my intercooler

How much did the AC deal cost you if you dont mind me asking. Sorry to get your post off topic.

Oh yeah to answer your question about gain from 8 to 13 PSI. I read somewhere on a sticky in a forum each PSI is like 10 hp or something. Dont qoute me on that though. It was very noticeable.

A/C thing was about $120

I've read gains around the same too. Just seems crazy to gain 50whp off of just uping the boost 5psi
