Puhleaze! Duane ain't got a chance in 4355 of taking Matt down. I mean Matt has all those BIG @$$ stickers adding countless thousands of horsepower - some of that HAS to survive through the tranny and hit the ground. Remember Vegas... Always bet on Black - you don't see any white on the roulette wheel - a better race would be that red Hyundai I passed on the way to work this morning vs. Matt (but don't count out that green Pacer either - he's there to skew the odds).

Wish you guys were doing this in Portland - and you KNEW I had to get an SILV reference in there somewhere.

First, I have to go with the local guy.

Second, when was the last time Duane went longer than 3 months without something shiny and new on his car to make track performance better? Hint: It's never happened, and I'm willing to bet it never will.

It goes without saying, that both of these EXTREME examples of the MkIII, although sporting different powerplants, are literal earthbound fighter jets! I have seen both eat up the 1320 with vengeance. I'm not a gambling man, (even though I lived in Reno, NV. for 7 years)...Duane will come out on top...you have my guarantee on it!:boink:

PS All drag racers know that the race is won in the first 60ft, providing you don't break....Duane runs 1.5's...pretty hard to beat that!

If you read the SF thread any both cars have some new parts, I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see 10second passes from both these cars. I think matt's higher redline will play a factor but Duane is obviously gonna win on the drag strip cause of the low end.

This will no doubt be a awesome race no matter which way it turns out. But I think it would be cool to see BIC and Duane go at it. Even if Duane has more power it would still be an awesome event two of the biggest contributors to the MKIII going at it each on there respective platforms. But for a head to head battle between 7M and 1J my money is on Duane. Torque rules the 1/4.

I'll bet my packeck and my left nut(they are both pretty big) on DUANE all the way. Matts a nice guy and I've personaly seen and hung out with both guys but come on. Whos got way more torque...7M power all the way to the bank. I'll take both on with my fire breather.....It only has 2 wheels though...:evil2:
