Description (From Site)

MC-10075, Heavy Duty Bearing Cover $45

"Heavy Duty Bearing Cover Plate
Included free on all R-transmission rebuilds!
Fits all R-series transmissions [R150F (V6), R151F (Turbo 4Cyl), R154 (Supra), etc]. CNC machined from top quality tool steel and will long out live the factory original. As the factory unit wears out it fails to properly position the main shaft. This heavy duty unit does a much better Job of holding the shaft in the proper position. Includes set of 4 bolts."

I had an entire tranny built by them. I only have 7miles on it so far, but its feels so much better than a stock 125k mi tranny and its not even broken in yet...

it's CHEAP insurance, and MAY stop thrust washer failure...

why NOT use it?

I'll be getting one with my rebuild (might just send it to marlin to do)

I bought one when I re-built my tranny, it has only been on the road for a few hundred miles, and I only have a little over stock power so I have nothing to quote on experience yet.

Just wanted to say that the MC piece is MUCH beefier than the stock piece when you get them in hand.

I talked to Marlin himself about the thrust washer, and curiously, he did not seem to recognize the washer as a problem. Maybe it doesn't get abused as hard in the trucks for some reason? I was suprised to find he was unaware of the problem. He said the bearing retainer plate was a main cause of failures.

or people aren't checking the tolerances in their tranny so wouldn't recognize the plate deforming...

quick shifts is what seems to kill thrust washers, so I can see why it wouldn't happen on a truck...

Anyone have an opinion on their clutches? Those are pretty fair prices for an entire clutch kit from a trusted site.

Those i think work because they look like the year range for the mk3 (88-95 [well they missed it by 3 :p]) and they say 3.0L so they might be talking about the 7M but the only sure way to find out is call them. But if they can use R tranmissions they might work . I dunno though
