I gonna say, run away. Now. Fast as you can.

While the "cool" factor is pretty high, the realities are terrifying. Reality is this engine makes less than 300 hp and is un-tunable without some exotic engine management.
It won't make a good track car as it will be underpowered and nose heavy.

Do you want a manual trans? Does it come with one? Otherwise, you'll spend a fortune trying to adapt a R154.

Everyone is sorely missing the point here

This has the potential to achieve FAR MORE than any 7M EVER COULD

Being a V motor, if Miguel straps on a pair of hair dryers and turns the wick up enough, he may be able to blow BOTH head gaskets at the same time!!!

Try that in a 7M lol

I was about to say the same

Surely someone must be parting out a Bugatti EB110s somewhere

Maybe graft in the 4WD system too ......

I have thought about a Subaru engine and drivetrain transplant ;)

It is NOT an easy swap, I'll give you that. However, the rest you're just plain guessing. I haven't weighted this engine yet, but I reckon it would probably be lighter than a 7M as this is a full aluminum engine.

As to the tranny, yes you can get the 850 6spd, but that might be same $$wise as just adapting a different one...

As far as the swap, there are more issues than one can image, but I don't know... I REALLY want to do this, but I don't really have the time or money to spend on this. I have so many unfinished things... Is NOT gonna be easy if I go ahead with it...

Like I said, this will HAVE to be a dry sump setup. Why? Because I don't want to have to modify anything on the Supra chassis at all. i would like to make this swap and drop in kit instead of having to cut the firewall or the subframe...

Don't do it
Do it later after the black is done
XX Give the motor to Buckshot for one of his projects.

Get that MKII chassis done, let's get it painted and maybe we can drop it in..but I can't promise you anything ;) I'll be though it would be super easy to drop it in there as it cuts down 1/2 the work and $$$.

Looks like the 7M flywheel fits inside the V12's converter plate! The outer ring for the starter is just a hair bigger than the stock 7M flywheel. Below is a stolen pic of the V12 plate(not my pic). Thank you Tyler for the Flywheel...I owe you!

I'm thinking... If the center of the 7M flywheel fits the crank, then it might be easy to drill new holes instead of making a new flywheel. Won't know until I drop it off the stand and measure it.

Do you guys think is doable?

IMO an M62B44 would have made more sense.
They perform the same stock, weigh less, are less complicated (one ECU, 8 of everything instead of 12), are shorter (better weight distribution.. and leaves room for turbos?), would be cheaper to make big power off of, and so on...
if you're just doing it for the cool factor... more power to you. :)

Definately do it. German engine, with japanese chassis, perfection. If i could have gotten that engine, id drop it into anything.

Working on it as time allows... Currently adjustable motor mounts are being built. They'll allow for minor adjustments.

some pics of the fun...

Is not only the cool factor that gets me excited about this project, but mostly the sheer fact that this thing will have pretty much a straight torque line.

It will be like working with a blender...you choose your speed and adjust accordingly with the accelerator and YOU'RE THERE!!! It should have plenty of acceleration!!!

1st. time I hear about a v12 swap, " Do it now"

1st V12 MK3 for sure... and there's a reason for that $$$ the more I look into it, the more I plan, the more I play with parts and what the cost, and the custom parts that have to be made to make it fit... the list just keeps getting larger and larger....
