Well because of all the medical problems right now and everything else happening, looks like we'll be getting roughly $11,000 from State Farm from the retard that hit me...and then the guy that I hit from the impact of my first hit said that I didn't have to worry about anything as far as paying for him goes...so...

Moneyz. :icon_bigg

But I'm still in a bunch fuggin' pain right now...:icon_conf

Hey Jeff-

Have you talked with Adjuster from the forums here about the details of the wreck? If not I would PM him & get his advise before you sign anything esp if thats there 1st offer. Keep in mind Once you sign off any future doctors treatment, test etc for an injury related to this will be out of your pocket. After my wreck a cpl years ago I still went to a doctor & was treated for an additional year. Problems went away but now some are comming back & I have to deal with the pain & discomfort along with forking over $$ to doctors. Just something to think about.

Well, although the car IS totalled, (Front Passenger door is COMPLETELY caved in, rear door won't shut, upper a-pillar started to crinkle from the flex of the frame, and it drives sideways,...definately totalled), anyways, It was just a 00' Buick Century Limited. Retail value on it was $7100, there was like $4,000 still due on it, and the insurance company is going to be giving us about 6700-7000 depending on small details, my medical bills, pain and suffering, etc etc. My dad is very much so in this business so he's guiding the way right now and knows what to ask for/what to say, you know.
As of today, the guy that hit me's insurance company WILL be paying us for Pain & Suffering, which includes days missed from work from a lack of vehicle, free rental car, etc. Right now, we are expecting to get at LEAST $10.5-11 for the whole ordeal, but the more the merrier and you better believe we will be pushing the limits.

Update on my Supra:
Got a new battery tonight. Got the donated AFM from Jon last night, car started, idles perfect, rev's smoothly, although once warmed up, CEL stayed on until I shut it off. When I went for a test drive tonight, it would drive fine until I gave it more than about 10% throttle which is barely over flippin' idle, after 10-15% throttle, it would miss out like my gas pedal was invisible, with CEL still on, so it HAS to be the AFM.

Jay, looks like I'll be hoping for the best from the one your sending my way.
Thanks again, buddy.

Jeff

Stupid question, but did you check what code it was? :icon_conf

Of course. I'm sure everyone on this thread could guess what two special numbers flashed at me... Three. One. :icon_bigg Air Flow Meter Signal, FTL.

BTW: Glad to hear your ok.

I can walk, I can talk, I can think (sometimes), I think I'll be okay...but I haven't got x-ray's yet...As of a simple check up from my personal doctor, I have Cervical Bruising and Whiplash...and a possibly bruised collar bone...but definately did something to it, and enough flippin' pain killer prescriptions to keep me up in the clouds in my own little world for a year...:( Too bad I'm not a druggy, maybe I'd enjoy it more...
:icon_conf Oh well. It could have been MUCH worse and I'm glad it was the car that was put to misory...not me. :icon_conf

Jeff, the offer their giving you sounds like it's not even half of what you should be getting. I know a couple of people that have been in a few wrecks. A guy that works for me got hit at a redlight a few years ago and he got thirty thousand dollars without even getting a lawyer or going to court. They also fixed his car and that wasn't included in the thirty thousand. I would definately counter offer or tell them that their not close and see what they offer you. Good luck

Hopefully the afm fixes your problems. I have another afm here somewhere if that one doesn't do it. It should though. It definately sounds like the afm to me though. Let me know when you get it and it fixes it................lol

Well...to be honest with you, $30,000 is completely out of the question.
StateFarm already knows and is very clear that it was his fault, not mine (duh), and they are already willing to pay ANY and ALL fee's that are a result of this accident.
Yes, I'm injured, Yes, the car is totalled...

But it's not like I was in a Ferrari, got 2 broken legs, paralyzed, lost an arm and turned Korean...er...wtf. :p

You get my point, though...

And I'm PRAYING this AFM you (Jay) sent me works...because if not, I'll be at a complete panic and will start having 2nd thoughts about being able to make it to Louisville!!!! :(....WCS, I'll ride down with Matt, Jon or some other loser in my parts of the desert.

Don't worry brother. I know I've got another one somewhere and if that one doesn't work then I'll send you this one, but we'll get it working I promise. I would gaurantee that one to work except it was a little wet. I've heard that could hurt them. I dried it off, but if it doesn't then just let me know and I'll send the other one. I'll look for it later on today................lol

^Shut up. :D

Hey Matt: I need 3 things that I hope you have around your *shop*...

-A "SUPRA" Bumper badge
-Plastic piece BEHIND the cam gears that hides the group of wires that run across your block that goes to your thermostat housing...
-Fan shroud

You got any of those around? If so...think, "Intercooler pipe"...;) Remember, the one you needed, and the one I gave to you. ;) J/K, I know you got my back...But I'll give ya some money's for the other 2 things and we can be even.

SD, I didn't know someone had asked for it to be stickied. I think the guys that are planning on coming all know the details. We more or less just keep this thread going to ridicule, make fun of and aggitate each other. All in good humor of course. Thanks for taking care of us though...............lol

Yeah. I think that everyone that is coming to the meet has already planned, so a sticky isn't "necessary" anymore...but always good to have up there incase anyone in the area hasn't seen it yet! ;) There are a few more little iffy details we are trying to squeeze out, but other than that, we are just waiting for October 14th to roll around!

Mind have you, we're just over 2 weeks away!!!! :D

....and my poor Baby is still collecting dust in the garage! :( Man...I can't even remember the last time I drove it...or even boosted for that matter....

Jay, I'm sure the AFM should get here today. Mail should be here in about 30 minutes to an hour...What kind of box did you put it in? My mailbox looks like a regular mail box except HUGE...so it might fit...otherwise...:dunno: lol

Does this thread still need to be sticked guys? Let me know thanks.

i asked for it to be a sticky. and since the meet hasnt happened yet (very close!!) i'd prefer it to stay that way. however, i had no idea it would be 50 pages long and posted in every 20min. but, that aside, id like to keep it as it is til the meet happens.

thanks

edit- and then you unsticky it anyway?

edit again- oh i see where boost ree said it didnt need to be so. well whatever.

Up-mother fuggin-date!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Thanks to Jay, My car is running literally BETTER than ever!!!!!

I swear when I fired it up and and there was no miss or hesitation, I was hopping up and down in my car screaming and hit my head...I see why they call it a HARD top... :(
New problem though, after stopping to get gas, I realized that my speedo stopped working and my OD OFF button in my dash keeps flashing...I'm really confused...I remember someone posting along time ago about it flashing but I can't remember what that meant...

BTW, SoD: Sorry for the 50 pages, 48 of them probably not necessary, but anytime there is a "MINI-MEET" thread, this tends to be our home...I say that meaning, in preparation for the meet, we can post something we need to say such as a problem or current updates on the car without having to make a new thread...Well, hope that's okay...

Anyways, Dave, you have any idea on the OD light flashing? Remember, I told you that my OD isn't even hooked up (wire isn't connected to shifter) so OD is always On.

Jeff

I was  when I read the bottom of the postage box (To: Jeff Lee (Coolest Korean) LOL :D
Thanks again, man. When I first opened it, was like, "Oh god, there are like 10 shredded up bug's on the AFM honeycomb grill, something is giving me a bad feeling about this..." buuuuuut, I cleaned it and it's doing good! I am also able to maintain my boost...Before, in 3rd/4th gear, it would start to fall off from 16 to 13 or so...Now it holds whatever I set it at all day...
