Yes, my dad loves that car. He's all for it, surprisingly. :)

But my only concern is the 190k miles on it.

You're off school tomorrow right? Both of you go drive it. You should be able to tell right off if that's a hard 190k miles or not. Toyota four bangers last well past 200k. Besides, who else do you know that has an MR2?
If I didn't have to work tomorrow I would test drive it for you. I know nothing about MR2's, but I know a ragged out car when I drive one.

If it works out, drive up to the meet at Toyota of Dallas tomorrow night. I'm hoping to be there if I can get off work for a little while.

See if you can do a cold start up on it if possible. If they still are driving it regularly then that may be hard to do. Cold starts reveal a lot.

wait a second...why dont you keep the mk3? i read that it's NA...and the supra N/A is probably safer for a younger driver than the MR2 is...

or is it insurance?

i dont get it...that mr2 might be more reliable but i cant think of any other reason to get it over the supra besides looks...

but anyway, i say go for it if you like it and it fits you better than the supra.

just be aware it will react different to loosing traction in the back than your supra, and you're good to go.

Insurance on my 89 is actually cheaper than my 98 200sx Se. Then again, it's listed as an NA Sedan with 150k on it, when it in fact is a 1jz-gte with 55k on the engine. :p

I would buy a civic or a newer Celica.

Seriously, S14 = SUPER UNRELIABLE. think of the age of the kids that own it now, unless you buy one from a grandma, your in for some serious shit.

MR2's, Huge hunks of crap. AW11's rust like none other, and the MK2's are just pure crap. They will cost an assload to maintain.
