Sup guys, Ive been workin on this one for a the past couple weeks.
The low down
This is a Long runner FFIM:
I chose to go a long runner route because of our long stroke motor, which are not meant to rev too high like the 2j series. The long runner design makes more torque vs. a short runner ,along with more horsepower at the rmp our motor desires. To me a short runner intake is really meant for the (2j) series because of their short stroke,(high rpms) Which the power increase is really at the top end, and power decrease at the low end.
The one im making does not require you to relocate the battery! Stock alternator location too
As for me i am using a 80mm mustang throttle body, but i can make a flange for any throttle body to make it fit. I also O' ringed my throttle body so id never have to use a gasket
I am willing to make more of these if anyone is interested. i will update this thread in a couple days to figure out more specs/prices for this.
Basically this will be a bolt on typa deal!! which is what most people like.
i will have pics for you guys in a few minutes to show you the progress so far!!
