ok so i finaly bought my supra last friday its a white 1989 targa top n/a. so i have a few questions does anyone know where i can get the molding for the car from the front bumber all the way around doors and all? it in bad shape need new ones and i cant find help please. ok that prob one i am having a hard time finding a 1jzgte moter with tranny ecu and everything? and final question what do you think would be a good first step to upgrade on hp on the 1jz after install car is been preped for paint doing a sapire blue metalic flake with a black strip starting on front bumber on the passanger side and going all the way to rear bumber you think it will look good. car is the wide body to if that help one piece spoiler:evil2:

I see molding sets in the for sale section from time to time. That would be your best bet. Unless you want to try ebay or buy new from the dealership.

ok but what is needed to go 2j i hear it dont just drop in and fit from what i read the swap is a pain but it starting to look like that personal opin but what im curius is what is needed for the swap and what i have to do to the car. and if it is worth the extra 40 hp
get the right mtoor mounts and it will drop in. the wiring is the pain on both jz motors. imo dont go with any strips they dont look good on our cars.

ya are local craigs list sucks there is nothing on there for supras it took me 3 months to just find a decent supra. and it wasnt even running lol and ya i think i will stay 1jz. 2jz seems like its more of a pain then it worth and since im painting the engine bay i really dont want to be bangin it out just to drop. a 2jz im not looking for a drag car. i am just looking for sumtin to get sideways. and take to the shows. so do you guys think saphire blue will look good on the wide body supra

im out in colorado i mean i prob have money for the 2jz i saw the link that yall put on here and thanks for that. im gonna look into the 2jz swap and maybe ill end up with that swap i just am kinda hesitant to go that route but at the same time i want to cause you dont see any supras at the shows around here and if they are driving around they are in rough shape. so either way it will be one of a kind around my area but if i go 2jz i wanna keep both turbos. which moter is more reliable
