I come from a land down under
Had a bud in the US get me a pair from Pepboys and send em over, $22 each from memory and they have clips on the Ball socket that makes it easy to unclip them and fold the hood back for working on/engine removal/installation.

the scion tc rear hatch struts work very good. you have to use two hands to close the hood lol

Are you saying that the HATCH STRUTS from a scion TC works very well AS HOOD STRUTS for our MK3s? Interesting

The rear struts are the ones I keep having to replace.

It seems the weight of the hatch + glass + wing just wears them out. Next thing you know, I'm leaning in the cargo area and the hatch decides to try to decapatate me. News struts...and a year later same thing.

he isnt talking about the hood struts but the hatch struts.

Yea...I thought so too because OEM hood struts arent that expensive. 100? No way.
