it doesn't matter to me, they're all supras. if you enjoy it, fuck the haters. i mean, did you buy the car for other people to comment on it, or did you buy it to satisfy yourself? honestly answer that question, and i'm sure you'll know what to do.

hell, my car was N/A for 2 years or so. (i've since turboswapped) but i had LOTS of fun when my car was N/A. :)

Oh, I know very well why I bought my car and there is only ONE opinion that matters where my car is concerned. I really don't care if someone has a problem with N/A's, 7M's, small block V-8s.... whatever. I'm just getting sick of all the OT crap and the hater commentary that's been polluting our forum lately. For me it isn't just about the N/A vs Turbo thing... that just happens to be the latest installment.

EDIT: Finnon, thanks for posting! I'll try to get some new shots of mine posted up soon. I'm running speed/density now, but I still need to get a piece of pipe so I can remove my MAF.

Me too!

WTF is wrong with having pride of ownership in a N/A. My car and I started out N/A. It was good N/A and it's even better now that it's turbo.

In fact, I would much rather start out with a non-abused N/A and convert it than try to restore some thrasher turbo. Much easier to find a clean well maintained N/A.

Shame on regular members for trying to crap out a newbee. Think before you talk. It seems like some people get their jollies by pulling the rug out from other people. If you got nothing nice to say, shut the fuck up!

Da bushman, welcome!

Not everyone here is an asshole.

I had the choice on na and turbo when I bought my supra didn't think 20 hp was worth 2,000.00. I bought the car because I liked a lot of things about the car, didn't make any diff. if it was na or turbo, didn't buy it to impress anybody, held on to it for 20 years now because I like the car. Maybe someday I'll go turbo but for now I'll putz around with and make it run the best I can because I LIKE THE CAR. The same as most supra owners out there. Be happy with what you got, If your not then sell it don't bash somebody because they don't fit your standards. I joined this forum because I thought of it as a brotherhood of people sharing their goals, achievements, screw ups, knowledge, ups and downs. Shouldn't make any difference what year, turbo, na, black, white, red, lime green, or purple.

Haha..

Nothing wrong with the NA. My trusty NA got me around when I was a broke student.. no money but the 7MGE Never broke down...NEVER... 8 years later and I still have the same car, even though I have 2 others to drive I still chose my trusty supra. NA then 1/2 NA-T, now NA-T and soon to be 2JZ, my best memories of this car are still when it was a reliable NA getting me to school/work.

The turbo stuff is fun but you can't deny that a NA supra is a Toyota to the core.. reliable and bulletproof if maintained right.

My 20 year old N/A supra just drove 700 miles at a constant speed of 70-110 miles with out downshifting one bit, and this includes going threw the mountains.

The best part about this, the only problem is there's a clog in my A/C Fluint hose that I'm gonna fix tomorrow (Dripping on my passengers feet)

It's only got another 1,400 miles to go, and there's not a damn miss in the engine at all. So when it rolls around to 200k miles and still drives strong..

Meh, we'll see who's bragging

PS:This is before I cleaned it, right after I bought the car.

having the biggest turbo out there in the world makes you cool...
Oh and that amazing lag 2..
Na ftw
Chris: You're deluded if you think an NA Supra is a quick car or in any way comparable to a Turbo one.....

I probably did more miles in my NA in one year than you've done in your car total (75,000 km's) so I have a pretty good feel for how they drive and their good/bad points.

Don't take this as a slam it's just reality the NA is a BRILLIANT long distance point to point car but it's never going to be quick without dropping a pileOcash into it then some kid with a mild upgraded GTE will come along and blow you away...

Suprabad: I'm keeping an eye on this and if anyone steps over the line I'll do something about it but generally most of the GTE guys just rag on the NA's in good fun.

I loved my car as an NA and this is why I still have it and have tipped untold $$$ into it.
