I had a 84 MKII for a little while. I sold it to another MKIII owner who is selling it now, but if he still has it maybe he can have his brother bring it down.

bump. what happened to to the Minisota idea? With the vendor support from suprasport we could have a sweet mini meet. Come on guys, it isnt that far, besides, roadtrips kick ass. And if you dont wanna put the miles on ur car, some1 (or 2 if ya wanna squish in the back) can ride with me.
I don't have the time to do it. School mon-fri 7:30-4 and Sat is the only day I work and I have to work to pay for lunch/gas/insurance. School blows.

I guess that there's 2 basic ways to do it, pull the motor..or don't. i'm guessing you just drop the subframe and then the 'pan, correct? well, if only it were that easy...but yeah, i dont trust myself to go in and start tearin stuff apart "quiittttee" yet...i know that doing it is how you learn...but damnit i dont have the money to afford messing up lol. 317-395-8362. cell it if u think you are "man" enough for the job

yes it would def. be better to pull it...i know. and as far as "why" it's knocking, the previous owner, i'm sure, had a lot to do with it...and it didn't help any that within the first 2 days of having the car, i got foot friendly with an 01 Z06 on the interstate and didn't back out until 130ish. oh well, i'll figure it out.
U wont catch my ass under the car trying to do a bottom end rebuild... or pulling the subframe for that matter. Sounds like too much work. I'm deff man enough to do it, just let me know what you want to do. IE- rebuild that motor or go JDM. I'll give ya a call here in a bit.
I was meaning more towards just getting another and switching everything over. This would be my choice of how to go about it, but I'm a wuss like that. Something about rodknock and rebuilds...
yea i always thought like that but i've learned that if its done right, it could be for the better...besides, me no got extra money ...at least not right now.

Indie was suggested for late March but others said may be too early to tell what the weather would be like.
Indie was suggested for April 7,8, or 9 but no comments were made.
Chi2k6 has been suggested and scrap the mini-meet. People have said lets do both still.
MN/WI border meet was suggested, others dropped out at that suggestion, too far of a drive.
For Indie, suggestions have been Hooters, Dyno time, IRD, autocross, maybe a swap?
I would suggest Indie on either April 15/16 or May 6/7.
I'm up for local meet-n-greets here in MI too after March 17th (garaging the car until then). Possibly in the middle so we're not biased towards east siders or west siders. Lansing BW3's is a nice place and the parking meters on the street next to it can be reserved (just went to a meet a couple of months back where that was done) so we could all park together.
