You asked for it. :icon_conf

I'm a Car Audio specialist and I've been doing it forever...so I figured I needed to be able to talk about something with my car when it comes to car audio...

So today, I bought a 12" Power Acoustik Fubar Series...800 watts RMS.

40lbs of pure, raw powah. ;)

Mmmm... Want to know the best part about it?

I got it for only $45 bucks. :icon_surp

I'll be wiring everything up tomorrow so maybe I'll post a pic of it when I'm finished. :)

-Jeff

nothing against power acoustik, but who in their right mind would name a sub fubar series?

I wouldn't even care :) I'd like anyhing back there, if it was cheap and good....Thinking about, whether I'd need something in the back, or the two speakers up front+stock rears are enough?...:)

That's suppose to mean that it's NOT a $45 subwoofer.

I'm a general goer for what SOUNDS GOOD, LOOKS GOOD and is a GOOD PRICE...IDGAF about "Ohhh noesssss, teh' JL AWWWWDIO DUBBBZZZ 7'zzzzzzz"...

Unfortunately, my main focus in my old school Toyota car is not to be bumpin'z teh' windowz off' my car.

Fubar is an odd name to be used for a speaker, Agreed, but judging ANYTHING solely by it's name is closeminded, ignorant and very annoying.
And that applies for ANYTHING, not just car audio.

Heresay is hands down, IMO, the most irritating thing on these boards.

My pair of Abe Lincolns. :nono:

OfnaRcR4.. You should be very careful running power wires... or any wires.. around that airbag module.. It could short or something and cause the airbag to go off... i wouldnt recommend to put anything anywhere around that module.. theyre way too sensitive.

Got the PA-FUBAR running at 2 ohm with 4 gauge.

WAAAAAY too much for me. :nono:

I was listening to 69 Boyz - Tootsie Roll (LOL, I know) the whole way home one night with everything turned up...(Believe it or not, that song hits extremely hard).

Got home. My wing's bolts were loose. :nono:

Unless you're entering/using your vehicle for sound competitions...

I [really] don't understand what's so f*cking cool about rolling around, bass rumbling your balls, can't breathe, scratching your face every 20 seconds and get a blistering headache.

Sound Quality is most preferred...Unless you're a 16 year old first timer that's....

'Juzz gotz ta' have teh' bassssssss.

Mine gets loud, but not overly.

That looks fun but where is the 1900 watt amp? On top? What model is it?
Same with the new 3200 setup.

i'm an audiophile, so the subwoofers i have set up are more than capable of chattering your teeth, but i dont always listen to music like that. i am all about quality, trust me i know. i spent over $200 on just me earbuds, i love quality... But when the time comes and you hear some tin-can honda bumpin a house subwoofer ya gotta represent that! lolz and no the amp on top isn't the 1900w. its a 900 almani.. more pics soon with the new amp!

It's not a 1900 watt amp. It's an ALMANI PA900.2, it's a bargin basement amp. It can't even produce its claimed 900 watts at 1 ohm. The amp just doesn't have the back bone for that much power at 1 ohm. In the real world the best it can do is maybe 720 watts at 2 ohms of unclean, speaker destroying, bridged power. It's just another SPL special from china. It's only designed to produce sound pressure, not actual sound, at the cost of ruining any speakers you hookup to it in short order. I'm not sure where he got 1900 watts.

finally got around to putting some pix up... I've been working on my motor lately, so I haven't had much time (or good weather) to work on finishing up the stereo. So I'll just show off the subwoofer I'm using, an Elemental Designs 13ov2 (http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_info.php?cPath=1_21&products_id=35)

I know its dirty, and those pix aren't the greatest... I'm gunna do a little photoshoot with the subwoofer soon, cause it really is a very good looking sub. Sounds FANTASTIC too.
