leather targa top

has anybody heard of a leather covered targa to stock on mk3's?
I have yet to see another one like mine.

I think I know what he's talking about. The underside of the targa the part you see on the inside of the car. Mine is cloth, another member here (Sside) has a leather top its really out of place if you ask me.

haha ya its kinda funny looking. but the out of the targa is wrapped in leather while the inside is cloth. ill try to get up pic up today

there was only one owner before i bought the car and he said he bought it that way from the dealership. the paint on the rest of the car is still very good for 20 years old

Dealers have been known to do some funky things. Gluing pleather to the sport roof panel would be pretty easy and might fetch a few extra $$ from some unsuspecting Joe.

This is a one off - custom job.

protects it from rock chips when it flies off at 60mph cause a) you forgot to tighten it or b) you're rescuing vin diesel.
