it whoudl work alright the FC guys do it and the slope is about the same on the 2 cars.... i have two side by side in the garage..........BAN ME, SHAEF YESSS!!!!!

That is really coming along nicely. Reminds me of another person's supra, he had a black 89+ and did the same conversion. It looks very similar. Keep up the nice work.

This is one mod ive' been waiting 4 decades(2). Looking good LAM. I would move the battery if neccessary, if its going to be done why not go all the way. Batt. in the trunk maybe?

that looks awesome lam... you should post how much this all costed you with materials and all... I would love to do this for my car... I think that is the best looking conversion I've seen for the mkiii's

$ 273 Lights / connectors
$ 25 1st trip to Home Depot crews / sheet metal / hinges
$ 25 2nd trip to Home Depot lexan / jig saw blades / bolts
$ 20 3rd trip Sears Hardware Store
$ 40 Couple of trips -( gas) money driving to a friends house to bend sheet metal
$ 14 (Late night crave) for Taco Bell while cutting up the Lamarossa
$ 6 Autozone trims and screws
$ 7 Alka- Selzers Plus- treatment- (Cold) while spending time in a cold garage

$ 3 Bandages- cut from sharp edge of sheet metal
$ 5 Spray paint

$ 8 2" crossbies strengthen radiator support

I don't know what your profession is, but you sure are good at fabricating and not scared of putting your ideas out to everyone.

that box is made out of 16g sheet metal. that is what i used long time ago. problem with the sheet metal is that it will flex underneath and not very sturdy.

i upgraded to a three layer fiberglass from my old set up --the 16g sheet metal. it was more sturdy and easy to to make adjustment with.

i abandoned the fiber glass and built something no one has. a box made out of polycarbonate with acrylic cover. the box are welded together for strength. once the box is formed, you can paint any color you like from the outside and you will have a mirror shine inside...acts like a reflector.

with flush lights, you almost need to cut out the nose panel, so you can mount the headlights better, kinda like a Z31 300zx..

i've seen FC's with cut nose panels to fit non-pop-ups, let me see if i can find a pic...
