I had put Tockiko blues in the front, and I think they were a bit softer than the KYB's, so good for the bumps maybe. I've used KYB's on a Z car and a Golf GT, and found them to be OK, but no experience w/ them on the Supra.

Tokico's are big epic FAIL pieces of garbage on Supras. How many Supra's have I had roll thru with Tokicos? And on everyone of them, they've been blown, even on my own

My tokico blues were awsome on my N/A, I used Eibach springs as well. Smooth ride with the blues, no complaints.

I love my KYB's

Tokicos + lowering springs = blown shocks, at least from what I've read on here and SF over the years...

Thats because people don't replace the bumpstops and dustcovers as they should. It does not take much to kill that seal, just a little dirt and its toast.

koni's are $500... they're out, i'd get coilovers for a couple hundred more...

the car is used daily, i dont mind a bit of a harher ride for better cornering. but i do drive very spirited, so nothing too soft.

Wait wait, if you're using lowering springs you REALLY should go with Konis or Bilsteins. YOu will f@ck up KYBs or Tokicos. Tokicos should just not ever be used on Supras, they are sooo bad. If you decide to roll w/ KYB's let me know, I have the the best source on them. I sell Tokico as well, but refuse to sell them to Supras, lol

Personally I'll be going with bilstein's and stock springs since you can lower the spring perch on the bilstein's...

KYB's are a bit stiffer than stock as well.

My Tokico/Eibach combo is great. IDK what the fuss is about Tokico's blowing? Mine have held up perfect this past year, plus, they were used from the previous owner.

What ever you decide, make sure to replace (if they are bad) the bumpstops and dust covers. Also check your upper mounts as they tend to wear out. Doing so will help protect them, no mater what you get!

I have never had a problem with tokico on any vehicle(honda, toyota, nissan). Grimsta seems to hate them pretty bad.:biglaugh:

I've had bad Tokicos on lots of cars. But all Toyotas. Celicas, Supras, IS300s. They seem to hold up good on Hondas. No one uses them on Nissan, because us Nissan guys have higher standards ;)

Rick, my buddy has coilovers in his 91'. And my other friend has them in his 240. And from what they both tell me, its not that good to have them when its a daily driver. I would suggest not getting coilovers if your gunna daily drive it. But its up to you. I just sent you a pm btw.
