has anyone here heard of ks racing in thailand?

they are selling a ffim on ebay right now for a lot cheaper than any others I've seen.

Just wondering what you all think. Nobody over on sf has heard of them as of yet, but its still a fairly new thread there.

I talked to a guy at work last night who lived in thailand for 8 years. He said racing and building cars is huge over there and one of the most popular cars is the mkIII supra. It made me start wondering about that ffim again and worried I passed up a good deal. I did some searching and found the company that makes it at ksracing(dot)net. It looks like they could be decent... although their english needs some work

Checked today and the part is back up on ebay. Someone please chime in here and tell me what the real deal is with these guys. I might be willing to try it out if I didnt have to eat the $150 one-way shipping cost

MkIIIs aren't popular at all over there from what I've heard.

I'd stay away until you get some concrete feedback, or buy one and be prepared to be the guinea pig.

not all of us can eat that $$ though...not dissing..but some of us would rather settle for a less expensive for relatively the same gains/purpose.
edit: just looked at the site....thats one hell of a nice looking manifold...if i wasn't broke i'd pick one up. What's the price on it????

Let people buy what makes them happy!!!! Enough of the Stereotype BS.

Exactly, it's their money, let them spend it how they please. When it comes to FFIM's, I'm pretty sure they were designed for boosted applications, where people tend to say "want better flow? add more boost". If this is the case, then one FFI is just as good as the next.

What people are paying for is the quality of the parts, and the R&D expenses.

The SS piece is very high quality, very well made. Cast as one piece, instead of having parts welded onto it.

Supra owners will spend money on what they feel is worth the money. That feeling differs between owners. The price that one owner is able to justify and the price another is able to is different. Budgets are different.

To each his/her own.

btw, nothing is wrong with Thailand, I loved kickboxer, haha. no, really I'd just never heard of anything from there so I was trying to get some feedback from you guys on here.

I'm gonna try to get a written guarantee from the seller that it will fit the left-hand-drive 7mgte with no modifications. if I can get that, I think I'll try it out.

To Tajabaho1: are most cars in thailand LHD or RHD?

yeah...sorry its possible to have nice things that aren't from your buddies or favorite companies for less$$...yeah its not cast....but IMO the high polish ones that are welded look meaner to me. It will drastically shorten the length of the ic piping which is a huge gain over stock already...and having a larger than stock plenum and shorter runners will help also...i know its most likely not flow bench tested...and might not be as nice as another manifold...but it dresses up the engine bay vastly and helps performance vs stock....good enough for me. Wish i was as good as the "non-typicals" lmao...give me a break i'm on a college budget for now :biglaugh:
