knock knock!!

had a quick question.....i have a knock in my motor.....i only hear it at abouy 2-3800 rpm.....if it was rod knock it would knock all the time right? could i be a valve?

Probably rod knock. Better check it before it gets any worse. Mine let loose and scored the cylinder pretty bad. Had to bore over 60 to take care of it:naughty:

rod knock starts out as only being able to hear it right in the RPM range you described
