Not with minor mods...it requires a little more to get to the 600+ mark. Most bolt on tune Cobra's are in the 450-500 range.

It depends on what you consider minor or stock even. Take LS1.com. There some people's idea of stock is a ported MAF, Lid, full exhaust, tune, and gears. Not stock would be to remove valve covers at some point to do work.

500 rwhp is a big gain. 125 hp gain with minor mods is very easy with this car. And not to be taken lightly.

600 is pushing it for the stock blower...Stage V port job and full bolt ons with a tune will get you close...maybe 550ish max. Most guys that want 600+ out of a Terminator go with a new twin roots style blower instead of the Eaton M112 that is on it. Most go with a KenneBell twin screw blower...which with the supporting mods will be over 600RWHP safely.

Or twin GT35R's.

Ahh I see... It would be easier to get a bigger S/C than do porting and all that. Thanks for the Termi lesson =]

Doesn't it take a ton of $$$ to go turbo with a Cobra? I think twins would be a bit overkill for 600rwhp if you can swap the bower and get that =\

Bolt on for a Cobra...Pulley, Exhaust, CAI, Tune=approx 500RWHP+-

Twin Turbo Cobras are becoming ever more popular...they are for the guy that wants 800HP to mess around with...it also requires some cash(5,000-6,000) to get you started. Then new pistons and rods, crank is good for 850 from the factory, sometimes people go with a new MMR 800-1100 block just to be safe. All this adds money to the total but the end product is bad ass.

Most people still stick with a new twin screw SC and call it a day.

He could have talked to the dude afterwards :dunno: 03/04 Cobras can make 600 to the wheels with very minor mods so a lot of them are around that range. Maybe it was guess? :dunno:

 You have to be joking. I have a friend with a stage4 port, smallest upper pully, longtubes, exhaust and tune as well as the neccessary supporting mods. He is making a hair over 550. Unless you concider nitrous, I cannot see a stock blower making 600whp.

My uncle's 03 put down ~530 with pullies, bolt ons and a tune. Now it's got all the supporting mods for the Whipple going on next spring, along with what looked to be a pretty serious port job (admitted I've only seen pics of stock ones but this one didn't look like it had much left to go port wise, I know he sent it to some place in St. Louis, any idea 03GT?) on the factory Eaton. He said he's looking for ~650 out of the Eaton but isn't sure if it'll get there. Just using it to play this fall before Whipple goes on.

Probably a Stage V Stagemiester(spelling is def wrong) if it was a good port job. I think they are out of Illinois somewhere...I will have to look it up after work. I have a buddy with this port, full bolt-ons, and all the supporting with a race tune and he made 59XRWHP on a Mustang Dyno...Could have saved time and money going the Whipple route.

You can tell how much power he had as he drives past you?

im not gonna get into much detail

but me going 60 mph and him flying by me like i was standing still pretty much told me he had alot of stuff done to his car. not to mention rear tires on his car.

i raced a cpl cars that where fast but no where near as fast as the cobra.

How many Cobra's have you heard? They all sound the same 350-600RWHP...they sound the same. My guess...pulley+exhaust Cobra messing around with you. Probably 80% of the Cobras out there are in the 390-480RWHP range...because you can get there with little money and by using simple bolt ons and a tune.

I raced a guy locally that has a white and blue Saleen mustang. I've never really knew I was going to lose a race until he rev'd up at the light. It was the most awesome sound I'd ever heard, except for that one time in a dream where Stacy Keibler and Shannon Elizabeth both told me to put it in their ass..........:biglaugh:

Anyways, back to my story. I seriously thought I was going to lose to a mustang on the street. His car had the most awesome sounding exhaust I"d ever heard. If I had to guess his horsepower by the exhaust, I would have put it at 550rwhp, but once we raced and I put about ten bus lengths on him in third, I'd put his horsepower more along the lines of 300rwhp.

I hope I have that same dream again tonight............:naughty:

well do to the fair share of the KB cobra videos on youtube and a friend of mine has one. to me the one i ran into sounded like it had a Kenne Bell on it. but hey i might be wrong about how much power hes pushing. but i think i have put down a good guess on what he is pushing

No way of guessing what kind of power it has by sound. I had a built 350 in my '79 Cutlass that sounded stock but it had 480 rwhp. ;)

My guess to what he will say...

1. Haven't been to the dyno
or...
2. 450RWHP

Seconded. Btw, he said they were either out of St. Louis or near it, so that sounds about right. He hadn't decided to get the Whipple until after the got the port job done, but before he got it all finished, thus ending up with a ported Eaton on the car and a Whipple on the shelf. Haven't gotten to ride in it since, but really looking forward to it. That was the car that got me into cars lol

That Whipple has a very interesting sound to it haha...instead of a baby crying sound, its more of a lower sound. Really cool.
