if the fuel tank is beyond repair, i suppose you could look at a fuel cell. highly illogical if you just need a basic repair, though. as for the sill, they might be able to take some type of frame straightener to it if its bent too bad, but im not sure of the shop's capabilities.

Jesus himself called me this afternoon, and he's said that the fuel tank, door and front wings will be fixed by MID WEEK!

The fuel tank is leaking from the seam so i suspect that it needs welding, or just swapping out for one that exists in Ed's Mk3 breakers yard.

While he's at it, he's going to do the plugs, valve clearances, timing, brake fluid, power steering fluid, clutch fluid - the works. Now all i'll need to get, is a respray on the replacement panels (see other thread about that).

Nice to hear that ;) your door doesnt look too bad. Infact i would call it a small dent, I have seen much much much worse beeing repaird... My EVO VIII had passanger side doors hammered compleatly, but still, my mechanic was able to fix them (i owe him a beer lol) ;)

Any news on that crazy Micra?

Yeah - the door i think can be pushed out, dent wise, and then resprayed, the door may not need replacing after all. I got it so that the window winds down fully, and the door shuts okay - seam lines are good, just a question of that scrape at the bottom.

Wings though definitely need to be done - as you can see in that photo, the bottom of the passenger side is totally disintegrated :(

well, the person that hit me just shouted at me for getting in his way, despite the fact that he was at fault, and drove off without giving insurance details.

What a bloody wanker. I would hunt him down and smash a bottle of ale over his head. Then again I'm irish, thats how I solve problems.

Hehe - well, problem was, he refused to give insurance details, police station was closed until the following day (they only do 9 to 5 hours here now) and the numberplate was dodgy anyways - they have CCTV footage though - but not like thats going to help :(

Well what did you do? Did you stop and check it out right away? If that bugger drove away from me after hitting me, God have mercy on his soul when I catch up to him.

WOW! Just got off the phone with Jesus - he's coming over this evening, he's taking the car away and delivering it back by the end of the week, and doing the following:

Valve Clearances
New Fuel Tank & Pump, Level Sender & Pipes
Front Fenders (Both Passenger & Driver)
New Heater Blower Motor
New Bulb Failure Module
New Propshaft
New Rear Brakes

Hell yes - the last problem i had before this had him ringing ME to sort out when to fix it. I was a little stumped, seeing as he didnt take any cash for that either! I had to ORDER him to take a fiver, which he used for fuel money :D
